The food was good, great beer selection, blah blah blah. The real story here is fully staffed with excellent service. That is so hard to find right now, do yourself a favor and go here instead of rolling the dice somewhere else. View all feedback.
What Lila R doesn't like about Cafe Portofino:
More of a dive bar than a cafe. The photo of the outdoor seating area doesn't really show that it's in next to a parking lot in the middle of downtown Boone. This is a more accurate picture of the vibe. The jalapeno poppers were completely burnt, but to their credit they took them back and didn't charge for them. View all feedback.

The food was good. Large menu with many options, but consistent in style, taste etc. no random range. They took my reservation for 14 people only two days before the time, really appreciate it! We really had only 1 server for all of us, but they did to maintain a fantastic work. Everything was great, definitely recommended.
Great food with very diverse choices, really great furnishings with unique atmospheres, and wonderful service. My server, Claire, was very attentive, committed and just great. Had a great time!
Service was fantastic and food was good. This is the grownup Mac and cheese. The pasta sauce was a bit bland but the chicken on it was outstanding.
Absolutely delicious!!!! The Rasta Pasta is a must and the shrimp crostini special was amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was good as well. Definitely will be back!
