The restaurant chain has a stable quality as I see. Modern place with a lot of room. Lots of tables. You get a chip card, you go to the pult and order, when your food ready the beeper let you know and you go get...IT. I don't mind this kind of self service. The quality of food is overall really good, tasty everything. There's a bar too. If you don't mind this art of restaurant absolutely recommended Italian cuisine View all feedback.
What Édouard Herve doesn't like about Vapiano:
The food at Vapiano tastes mass produced compared to many other restaurants in Bonn. They have a pretty good wine selection and the restaurant is clean and modern. View all feedback.
Very relaxed!!! Perfect restaurant. Very good prices. Very good food.
Vapiano the italian semi fast food, with card based ordering you pay when you go at the cashier. And the most important you can choose wholeweep pasta too!!!
Veggie Choice: We had just been to a museum nearby on the socalled Museumsmeile, and the options on a Saturday midday right before Christmas were limited. A bakery we had spotted in a reconnaissance session turned out to be shut. We picked Vapiano a...chain spread throughout Germany as it was one of only two places we could find without walking for miles. The concept of a Vapiano restaurant relies heavily on the gimmick of the customer doing the work; i.e. you arrive and get handed a plastic card. You then have to go to the food stations to order your food, with different counters for Pasta Risotto dishes, Salads, Pizzas, Drinks and Desserts. The first thing which is slightly annoying for the uninitiated is that one first needs to find a menu some stations have them helpfully near the counter, others don't. Anway, you can then order the food and see how it is prepared. Basic drinks can also be ordered at all the food stations. Once the order has been made, the employee will add it to your card, which you touch in. We ordered a mixed salad and a pizza to share between two, which was plenty for a light lunch. The salad tasted very nice, with all the ingredients being crisp and fresh. The dressing was for my personal taste too strong; one has a choice of different dressings. Of the veggie pizza choices, the Verdure was our choice the other options were Margarita and Funghi, and then we were given a handheld device similar to a remote control or a small phone, took our salad, found a table, and waited... After minutes or so, the device vibrated, and we could pick up our pizza. For dessert, we had a panna cotta with a strawberry sauce on top very nice! For a Saturday lunchtime, there was plenty of space, and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I guess it might be a different story during the working week, and that might also slow down the ordering process, the time it takes to prepare the food, and when you get to eat it. So the mechanics of the process work well, and the food is fine, although the gimmick of ordering and collecting yourself is not something which excites us enough to seek out the nearest Vapiano wherever we might be next. However, it is solid food and prepared well
We identified this restaurant during our walk to the City Center, because its glass facade gave a glimpse of Italian food being cooked fresh. They sure do have a 'unique' system, where each cutsomer is given a token that's used for billing. One takes the...token and after choosing the dish of one's choice, goes to the appropriate counter. Thankfully, someone at the entrance reception briefs customers on the system, so that one is not all at sea. We found the system to be slightly bizarre but enjoyed the experience of watching the food being made right in from of our eyes. The artisanal pasta was removed from its pack and cooked in front of us. The food was hot and tasted fresh and fine. The salad was delicious too. Overall, we enjoyed the experience
Vapiano fast Italian food that present itself as good food with a system that's so unfriendly for new customers. Hate this place and in the end it's just another fast food chain
