This is a restaurant that looked like a pizzeria as you can see everywhere, but glasses paved... I quickly had to give up this idea, and sit at the foot of a barrel to taste Corsican specialities. Boar cutter, eggplant stuffed with bonifacian, charcuterie, cheese... All served on a tray to share with two.Only flat: dessert. Too sweet! But I think they remember... ' View all feedback.
What David S doesn't like about Le Fondago:
It was noon time in lovely Bonifacio, and all the restaurants were packed. We have picked this corner restaurant as we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the local ambiance. Our waiter, actually from Sardinia, was friendly and accomodating, in spite of one of our friends who was very fussy in detailing what exactly he wanted in his vegan pizza. While everything was perfect outside, and we sipped our local cold beer, the... View all feedback.
It was getting very late for lunch in Bonnifacio upper town but this restaurant welcomed us in graciously. The server Kevin was very attentive and gave a lot of personal attention inspite of a little language barrier. My daughter was happy with her fish dish with salad and I too enjoyed my pasta dish
Loved the generous portions, quick service and great corsican food. Recommend it for couples or families
We had saltimbocca, one market salad and one risotto with ham and parmesan for lunch. The meal size was good for two persons. Location and service staff was friendly. Only the fact that the menue was written in a shot verdion on blackboards on the wall was a pity, because at the end we didn't exactly know what side dishes were contained in the menus. Nevertheless I would recommend the restaurant.
We fell upon this restaurant whilst walking around Bonifacio. We were shown to our seats and ordered our drinks. We then ordered lunch and everything was just so. It was a very pleasant lunch and we were not rushed or harassed and it was a nice place to eat. After the meal we had another drink and left. Fond memory of the nice setting of the restaurant, the food was served up and tasted very nicely and then such friendly staff . Well worth a visit.
Yes, just you must know is that we went there in June, which is still not full season so people have time to take care of customers. Time to explain you how the lamb is cooked and the delicate vegetables grilled along, how the Tuna avocado sashimi (the best we had in 10 days in Corsica) is married with a whipped cream with some herbs... Desserts were great and we were even offered a digestive drink. We were seated on their outside seating, underneath a shade and plants separating from the street, just enjoyable in evening. Try
