Contribute Feedback What coralrocks doesn't like about Mario's Osteria:
This place is way too overpriced for the quality and quantity of food you get. For a good deal less, I could eat at Dominics or Maggiano’s- both of them offer better portions and lower prices. I suppose Marios jacks up the prices to pay for their fancy location, next to PF Chang’s and Alexanders. But the food simply isn’t that good or worthy of the high prices they charge. I would pass on this lemon! View all feedback.
We have eaten at this location on many occasions, the food is good, but somewhat over priced if your not going for the happy hour deals. We were always able to take home any leftover. But on our last visit we were told we were NOT ALLOWED to take home our “leftovers” it was their policy. The manager said that too many people were ordering extra portions at the 1/2 price special and taking home the extra orders. We all know who “these people are that abuse the specials deals” making it bad for the honest dinners. So even though we paid for our meals we were unable to take home what remained. They would rather toss out food and cause “ill will with their customers” than give us a doggy bag…poor service policy. You can be sure we will spread the word about the lack of customer service at this establishment. Both the server manager were laughing smiling as we had the conversation regarding the leftovers….POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE – need to consider new policy on hiring mature employees.
Used to be a big fan of the original Mario’s. Sadly this version is not the same. Over priced food and drinks. Garlic rolls are still good but the rest of the food is just ok. Lots of better Italian restaurants in Boca that do not require maxing out the Platinum Amex card to enjoy. Tony Bova has never been the same since getting involved with Scott Rothstein. The decor of the restaurant is also very modern and sterile looking. Not what you would expect at a Italian restaurant.
