Sawara mart is the place to find unique and novel objects. they carry a little (and sometimes a lot of everything.
First, that's for the Sahara mart on the third st. I've never been with the one on the second, but it's in possession of the same people. the wine selection is huge, along with the beer selection. Just remember, indiana is stupid, and they can not buy alcohol on Sundays (plan accordingly also to choose many local Indiana wines. the bulk area is also huge, with a tonne coffee selection also. here is where to be careful. some of the mass are in order, they move a lot of it, and it is a lot. bor, for example and dal, and the more dried, storage-stable things. there were some fresh problems with some of the mass-produced items. the fresher things, like granola, can be a bit a problem, or the mehle. just look carefully to produce: I personally go with purpose to produce. some of them are really fresh and ingenious, and sometimes it looks like old and busy. the apples are really great, actually most of the fruits is good and at a good price. but I don't tend to buy veggies here. I recommend bloomingfoods for vegetables, although it is a bit more expensive. I personally love the olive bar and I have never seen the mold myself. I always had great experiences with her olives. there is a humble selection of edgy and oil, and I tend to spend a long time pouring and extracting them, just the perfect one. I love this part! When I had eaten milk, we found that her milk was not the freshest of the world. I also had a shaped soy yogurt from there. I guess I'm leaning against the fact that this is not so fresh there, and you just have to be careful. when they meet it correctly, they can add great offers that are just above their date, but still good. I also have no problem getting stuff packed here. Oh, the spices are amazing, and I'm not buying my spices anywhere else. they are fresh and at a great price. skip: sweet, milk products, some bulk do not miss them: seasoned, some bulk, bulk coffee, wine and beer selection, cheese (if they eat), large selection of ethnic food, vinegar and oil
I do not agree with the contribution that sawara mart sketches and calls dirty. so far I have no food stores to find, of course or otherwise, that I would really call clean all the farms that carry food have these problems. the advantage of being seenara mart is that the owners really take care of their customers. I find current products, but they are always happy to replace them, and as far as food quality is concerned, I don't buy the bulk goods (all open containers frighten me), but I never had anything that was called by the deli something that I can't say for bloomingfoods. (I am a regular customer in both stores her deli has a great rotation of ever more inventive and tasteful objects (although few milk-free decisions). Sahara mart also has a much better selection of gluten-free/casein-free items and a beautiful 10% discount on Tuesdays. they have a large number of international products and an extensive beer and wine department. a second load is in the works for the east side of the city, a certificate for its popularity.
We've been going here a lot more since being angered at the decision Bloomingfoods made to close the Encore Cafe, our favorite restaurant in town, in leiu of another downtown grocery (with the other one about 6 blocks away. What is this, Starbucks?? We have found the Sahara Mart to be bigger, offering more variety, a larger selection and more room to move around; less crowded and chaotic; equally friendly staffed; and comparable or perhaps a little less expensive than Bloomingfoods. We do support the co-op ideal so we'll continue to go there too, but if you haven't tried Sahara Mart, you should.
