The staff is friendly and on sunny days the view is quite beautiful! They have a little bakery and aside from it being a little crowded they get people in very quickly for the amount of space they have! We go all the time and its a nice drive! Service: Dine in View all feedback.
What Alicia Wallace doesn't like about Black Diamond Bakery:
Not sure how this place made 100 years as far as ???? bread making goes. I got Pumpernickel (left) and Sourdough loaves. I thought I was eating Wonder Bread! Pumpernickel is a dark rye, not this. Sourdough was mediocre at best. One loaf marked 100%Wheat not whole grain. All wheat bread is 100% wheat ???? as far as I know. No whole grain offered. Peanut butter cookiesnothing to write home about either. We gave the bre... View all feedback.
Wonderful hidden facility found in Black Diamond is not to be forgotten. The food was amazing! We got a peach and a little muffin before we got our food. We waited less than 10 minutes to get our food. The atmosphere was very comfortable and quiet and had the feeling of hometown. The waitress was sweet and very helpful. The staff was there. Within the Deli is a bakery full of freshly baked bread (climbing), sourdough, Jalepenõ rolls, biscuits, etc. please stop after eating in you will not be disappointed! I'll be back soon!
I was presented here by the members of a car club I belong to. The first time I had eaten here, I was impressed by the food. It was generous in proportion, delicious and served by nice people. I had read about her baked goods, so I took a few boxes home. I liked her food so much that the next morning I drove 45 minutes to bring my family so they could experience the food at Black Diamond. This review should be 5 launches and I will say it is now at 4.5. The only problems I had are: 1. We were about to sit for some time before we were noticed and addressed. 2. There seems to be a hierarchy in which only a few employees can take over your orders, which is fine. The only thing is that we couldn't tell who belonged to what group. In my book little things, but I have to be honest. Good stuff. Staff are generally friendly, smiling and BUSY! Our timing was perfect when we left, but I could easily wait a table when you arrived at the wrong time. And why would that happen? because the food is amazing! Just amazing. Two days in a row, I had the hearty breakfast two eggs, a big sausage patty, potatoes and two cookies with sausage sword! Are you kidding? All breakfasts come with half a peach in syrup and a small muffin. And everything was so good, I ate everything! My food companions had the eggs Benedict and an Omelet that was as big as the big plate in which it came. And someone had the chicken steak I'll have next time. Everyone had nothing but compliments about food. I understand that most of their articles are made from scratch. Oh, you have to try the bacon. This is bacon SHOULD. Of course we had to ask for boxes after dinner. And still had to come by the bakery to take items home. If I would recommend to go a few things, they would be the eclairs, the cherry danish AND the lemon danish, the cinnamon rolls (still a half dozen apples frozen in emergency cases) and the XL chocolate chip cookies! Truth said, I would also recommend wearing sweaters so that you can get rid of the drawstrings after meal! It's best to serve breakfast by 2 o'clock! All this has made me go back there! When can I leave?
Small city feel, many cool historical documents and pieces on the dining area. The bakery was delicious. Will be back.
We travel a very long route to make an occasional brunch here. We like the food, especially the eggs Benedict, although a bit expensive. We enjoyed it a little extra perk with canned peach half with a mini blueberry muffin. The service was honestly a little willing, but not the fault of the waiting staff who probably need two or three more employees. We also like the freezer style jams they offer. A very rewarding special trip.
I have eaten here a few times, but last night was the first time I felt compelled to write a review. My wife and I both had the standard burger, and let me tell you it was fantastic. This is my preferred type of burger, meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, sauce and bun. The Good: First off the burger was super flavorful, the bun was obviously made in the bakery, had a great flavor was soft and had some good chew. All the vegetables were super fresh, and the tomato was nice and firm. We also had the fried ravioli, which again was super tasty, they supplied us with some marinara for dipping, but we didn't use any of it because they were so fresh and delicious on their own. The Bad: They only thing I would have to complain about is the fries, I had the regular fries and my wife had the sweet potato fries, both fries had that weird coating that makes them crunchy.... I don't like it, and I removed a star because of them. Overall it was a great meal, and if you are one of those people that likes weird crunchy fries with a coating on them, you'll love it. If you are like me and hate those fries, maybe ask for a side salad instead.
