Gus's Hot Dogs - Birmingham

It's a great meal and it's a great experience. It's like stepping back in time for me because I've had hot dogs at this location forever. If I'm Downtown, it's a rare occassion that I don't stop in for a slaw dog. I highly recommend this to anyone that appreciates a great hot dog. They have other good food too, but I just can't force myself to eat anything else!

Everyone may frequent here for the hotdogs but the BLT are amazing. The guy that grills is amazing how he can keep up with so many orders and get everything right. They are always beyond friendly. The owner as well goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. The only downside is the place is VERY small. The prices are fabulous! The lines may look long; but they are fast!

We are from canada and my husband loves his hot dogs. We walked into Gus’s and they are outstanding they told me to have a seat and he would bring me the best hot dog ever and he was right in fact my husband had a loaded and he only likes plain. Staff and food rank high with is and we travel all the time

The hotdogs are not the same since new Management...the buns taste stale, however, since the cook is the same the sauce and the dog still taste good... I will probably find another hot dog joint, really hated management changed because I really enjoyed the old guy...

Best hot dogs in town. Gotta get the chili dog and Grapico soda. Used to come her with my Dad during lunch.
