Beautiful to walk into with amazing smells. We are traveling back home so picked up some cookies to bring back for the Thanksgiving holiday. We decided to try their breakfasts as well, and they didn't disappoint! View all feedback.
What Salmund Simonsen doesn't like about Edgar's Olde Style Bakery.:
Their quiche, roll ups and cheese balls are delicious but their baked goods have alot to be desired. Their cakes are so dried out. Terrible quality. So sad because years ago their cakes were superior. View all feedback.
First visit to edgar. I have an order of chicken salad, Pimento cheese, an orange roll and German chocolate cake. the orange roll was great. not too sweet and much orange taste. the chicken salad was delicious. the cake was for a friend with a birthday and they shaved about how good the cake was. the only disappointment, and I am here electrifying, the Pimento cheese was not my favorite. there are as many versions of Pimento cheese in the south as there are chefs. this had all the right ingredients, but it was missing taste in my opinion. I like it sharply. they have no fear to try, but it can be what they are looking for. I'm definitely back for the orange rolls. I also want to try the cinnamon rolls if I can get there early enough.
My favorite bakery. it's half an hour from where I stay when I'm in the opposite of birmingham, we're trying to get here. to die! it is our family book for thanksgiving and christmas.
Stop for a cup of coffee and ended with an amazing breakfast sandwich! So many wonderful bakery and gifts too!!
Beautiful place! we simply moved into the opposite and were thrilled to find such a beautiful place to lunch with great food and amazing sweetness. their cakes look beautiful and I can't wait to come back.
This Edgar's at the Colonnade is amazing! There service is second to none! My husband was wanting to surprise me with a 50th birthday cake, he went to a different Edgar's location and the manager and staff at that location was not helpful or friendly or willing to answer any of his questions, so he left and went to the Colonnade, and the manager and staff went above, and beyond to answer his questions, and even provided a sample of their buttercream icing. The cake was amazing and so beautiful! We were so pleased that we returned today, and once again were met with excellent customer service, and selection. They have handicapped parking and a handicapped entrance. They serve pre-made lunch items and breakfast items. They have ornaments, aprons, gift baskets and many other items for sale, along with a large selection of sweets. I highly recommend this Edgar's and I will be back!
