We have been coming here for years. For Sunday lunch, not often enough. If looking for traditional meal this is the place. The restaurant is clean and tidy some people say old fashioned but that’s what we like, a truly independently run, with very reasonably priced meals. Very disappointed after reading great reviews. Best part was the starters, our main meal was not large on portion size. One had roast turkey with all the trimmings a slice of back bacon and a small skinny sausage, fish was to have parsley sauce missing just dill sprig. We came for a meal on Tuesday night about 2 weeks, just before the jubilee of the queen. it was nice. my man said the fish plate was amazing. I had lamb noissette in mint sauce. they were probably the best lamb I ate. that was nice too. I had syllable, it was nice. the house wine was a beautiful wine. they were full, but this in no way distracted from the good service and the beautiful kitchen. I recommend and will go back there.
This restaurant has been open for over 40 years. We haven't been here since the 1990s. enjoyed our meal and the portions were appropriate for the price. fair quiet for a Friday and the clientele were mostly 50
I thought of the last time I spoke my mother to say something nice just because we ask for help or a happy birthday. but our mother deserves more than that. Today surprises me and pralines them by eating them for lunch, on a beautiful sunny day. I try to make sure that she knows how much I love her and appreciate her that she is the glue that holds everything together. we had a wonderful lunch with sophies choice. the service is so friendly and they can not do enough for us. eating is delicious and very cheap. there is a huge menu with large portions. the tables are generally round and all have white table clothes. I can't say enough about how good it is. but many thanks to my mother, pauline and sophies choice to make my day special.

Food not up to normal standard. Manger not very friendly. We have been going to sophie for many years .we had our wedding breakfast there .not happy with last night Annette and tony .
