Contribute Feedback What Laure Martel doesn't like about Cafe Leffe:
During the summer months I enjoyed a nice cold Belgian beer on a square in Besancon. Leffe is very high quality beer. Dinner is another story. We were seated downstairs in a semi somber, abbaye like large room. They took our drink orders, but never poured the wine or water. We were a party of 8. Were looking for a place to have lunch on a Sunday in August. The offer is very limited but we were lucky to stumble onto the Cafe Leffe with outside seating. An attractive menu with a good choice being for food or drink. The burgers were very good and cooked to the point.
Usually central cafés aren't great, but I wanted to go here because I was very hungry and wanted to try some traditional (ish) foods. There was no English menu only French. I ordered the fillet of chicken franc comtois which was decent. The chicken was rather tough, though, and the only flavour came from the cheesy sauce. The fries, though, were delicious! Super crispy but soft on the inside. The waiter that served me was very nice and spoke a bit of English. I had two coffees as well which were decent. The bill came to around €19, which was a little pricey for what I got. I'd say go if you want something to eat and are in central Besancçon it was decent
Bad bad bad all food. Chiken was dry no taste. The castrol were bad bad. Don't try it. That eas terrible.
Enjoyed our meal here, good service and nice food out in the square. Dog friendly we really enjoyed our meal and would return if passing this way,
De très bons moments passés là bas autour de bonnes bières et bon repas.
