This has got to be one of my favorite second hand vintage stores of all time. So many unique pieces that are truly well curated. The shop owner even gave me a $30 discount! Over 30 years old. It's a higher end vintage shop, meaning clothes range from $40 $70. They source from all over Europe and everything truly feels like such a one if a kind find. Amazing store I got six pieces for roughly $300~. Two jackets, two sweaters, a silk top a leather skirt. For the quality, brand, and uniqueness I think it's worth it.

Amazing finds, and prices were really affordable for the pieces they are selling. You should definitely stop in if in this area, we walked out with about 5 pieces between 2 people. Guy at the counter is very nice as well.

I moved to Berlin about a month ago and have slowly started to wandering around my neighborhood. My friend told me about this new cafe called Sing Blackbird that opened up a few weeks ago just down the street. He said it was owned by two girls, one which was American, the other a native to the area. I was curious to stop by and check it out. I waited for the opportunity to go visit w/ a friend so we could sit down and chat while enjoying some tea/coffee and snacks. Upon entering this place I saw that it was so cute. The renovations to the building looked great, lighting, elements and design were beautiful for this space. The wallpaper is amazing, and the decor and feel reminded me of a cafe that had more contemporary edge and design than most places that I've been to in a LONG time. It was extremely clean and tidy, with small tables to sit at and sip coffee and chat with friends. The other side of the store has vintage clothes. Diana one of the co-owners was working diligently at the sewing machine altering some clothes for a customer that was in the store. I found that to be a great characteristic of the store, as well as feature to those shopping. We all know vintage and older clothes are as is, and sometimes it just doesn't fit, or there is something that is a little off w/ sizing, but we LOVE IT and gotta have it! Well she can fix it for you! As i sat and drank my chai tea and ate some of the Pumpkin cheesecake (which was both amazing! , we struck up a conversation with Tasha, the other owner, about food in Berlin, tastes and cultural differences between America and Germany. They wanted to bring both together, using that lovely Baking Powder and Baking Soda we miss from back home into their foods here. The cheesecake we had was a hybrid of both cultures and had some great flavors to it. Not too heavy and not too sweet, the pumpkin topping had a great taste to it. They had a bunch of other self made snacks there from biscuits, to cookies and breads, and even salads and other lunch/snack/dinner foods available for purchase. They also have a bar and serve wine and cocktails. They are looking to diversify their business by showing movies, hosting events, and having a great spot on the street with outside seating (in warmer weather , and starting to serve brunch with Pancakes! Yum! I know where I'll be in these next coming months in this great city. With great welcoming energy, positive outlook and creativity, I think Sing Blackbird will flourish quite well and I will definitely enjoy another cup of tea and snack there!

What a darling little two-in-one nook. To the right is the clothing store, its racks brimming with handmade/rejuvenated-vintage garments (I believe they are sewn on site. To your left is the cafe; think wooden tables, handwritten chalk on blackboards, Danish Eames-era chairs, flowers in jars, tee, milchkaffee a good selection of sweet treats as well as lunch time fare. I only had a Cappuccino (which was, although a little weaker than what i 'm used to, very good for Berlin standards but I saw someone nearby tucking into a stack of pancakes drizzled in caramel with banana and walnuts (there are two other pancake options, one involving berries. wow A very intimate little space with soft lighting, a good blend of 'vintage ' music playing to match the decor and lots of magazines and publications to peruse (auf Englisch und auf Deutsch. Exberliner can be purchased from the counter and the owner speaks English, so it 's an expat friendly space. I must warn you however that the cafe also boasts a fairly impressive little Alcohol menu (beer, wine, spirits ...and free WIFI. So probably best you drape one of the fleecy white blankets over your lap and pray they can get you out of the door at closing time (5pm.
