What User doesn't like about Restaurant 3:
We have been at the restaurant bar 3. Terrible! Please avoid. It seems to be a rip off. They even took 10% tip for granted which I really really didn´t want to give. The wine is ok. Even though we were not allowed to try before serving the bottle and for a high price restaurant I should not have to pour it myself.Pasta was overcooked. Food ingredients was good quality but seems to be a bad cook. Instead of having a w... View all feedback.
Absolute Empfehlung!!!
We discovered this restaurant (with bar next door) by chance when walking to our airbnb for a weekend in Berlin. We went in and were pleasantly surprised. It's a spacious, clean and sober decor, very tasteful. The waitresses were super friendly without being overbearing. We had the choice of 2 tables despite just showing up. There's a menu of the day with several vegan options in the starters, but none that day in the mains. As I wasn't very hungry I chose two starters and my partner had a pasta dish. The wines seemed to be mostly organic, which I love, and we chose a German red, which was young, but very good. The sparkling water was also very nice, local. The food came not too fast, not too slow, the waitress even came to ask if it was OK that we had to wait a bit as the pasta would take some time. We were fine with that. She brought us some appetizers and toasted bread in the meantime. The artichoke was huge and super tasteful. The tomatoes (Meiningburger i believe), were simply amazing, probably the best tomatoes I've ever had. There were green, orange and several red tomatoes and each one had more flavour than the other. My partner's pasta dish was very nice too apparently. We took a watermelon granita (there was also the option with vodka) to end the dinner in style. We had a very nice dinner and evening and the price/ quality was superb.Highly recommended.
Gostei muito do atendimento, do quanto os pratos eram bem elaborados, uma localização boa. Ao menos no dia que visitei tinha bastante pessoas, tive que aguardar um pouco, porém, valeu a pena.
This appears to be is the first Trip Advisor review of "Restaurant 3" although if Googled we managed to find a couple of reviews from other sources. We were visiting Berlin for 4 days and a friend who visits Berlin on business quite frequently recommended it. It was fortunate she did, as the restaurant is in a side street and we would never have noticed it walking in the area of our hotel in Alexanderplatz. We almost missed it even with the address in hand.It was a Saturday night and we booked in advance. Fortunate that we did as it was soon full with them having to turn customers away. The interior and exterior is minimalistic and unobtrusive. The décor is mostly dark with large bulbs hanging down from a high ceiling over each table. In addition to the seated diners there were also people seated at the bar. It was obvious that the whole clientèle was local. We were the only tourists. In fact the waitress on greeting us asked how we knew about the place and before we left the lady chef came out to ask us the same question. There was a lovely relaxed friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, once again indicating that the clientèle were regulars. The menu is limited - mostly of Italian style. There are several vegetarian options and some nice pasta dishes. I had an artichoke based starter followed by Osso Bucco and finished with an excellent cheese selection - real quality. They have a decent but small wine list which can be bought by the glass or bottle. The price for a three course meal for two which included a bottle plus a glass of wine and coffees was Euro 80.Service was delightfully friendly and efficient. We were served by an English waitress who was knowledgeable about the dishes, the cheese and the wines.
