I was there only once December 2012. Food was excellent, fresh, but it was rather tapas food than real dishes, so it is a real wine bar where you can taste various wine along with some food, but not a real restaurant (choice of meal is rather limited). Otherwise, perhaps it was a week day in December, the hall was a bit empty but the setting of the bar was very chic and staffs serving there were very nice. I recommend this place, if you want to just talk with friends and enjoy each other without eating much..
We went there this year for their Easter special 5 menu course with accompanying wines. We settled on the place, since we are wine enthusiasts and loved to see what they where offering. We were well seated and the waitress took our coats. The menu was shown to us and we decided to try all of the 5 courses with the suggested wines. The surrounding is very modern. On this particular evening not many people were there. The food was by and large good. The wine pairings OK for 4 of the courses and failed badly on 1 course (dessert!!!). Who would ever serve something half-dry oxidates Riesling to an ice-cream ? It was like drinking acid lemon-juice and did no justice what so ever to the dessert. That wine should have been served with some creamy soup or maybe with smoked fish. Not Ice cream. The Waitress and her accomplish totally missed out on the food. They did not introduce the dishes, they did not tell ud what was on our plates. 3 times we had to ask that this and that was, and though they answered they should have introduced us while serving. When we asked to pay they did not return our coats to us. We had to ask where they were stored and then made ud go through 20 or so other jackets before we found them. Not bad - not good. Points missed.I would suggest to not go to this place for their good food, but instead for 1-2 tapas and a drink. Their easter menu was nice, however the setting is not fit for it.
