By coincidence we have landed in the simon dach road in the elevenida. we were very kindly greeted by the wet. he has told us a lot about his food and his resta... read more By coincidence we have landed in the simon dach road in the elevenida. we were very kindly greeted by the wet. he has told us a lot about his food and his restaurant. we first ordered the mixed appetizer plate, which was very tasty and abundant. not too much for happiness, otherwise we would not have managed the main dishes (grill plates and cooks). everything was terrified with crumbles. all in all we were very satisfied and come back to our next berlin visit!

I think the title description really says everything, but still. we have been here before and the service was a little slapdash, but we thought it was a problem... read more I think the title description really says everything, but still. we have been here before and the service was a little slapdash, but we thought it was a problem with too few waiting employees who deal with the new influx with all COVID rules and precautions. so we came back. the place was only very moderately occupied (3 tables inside, 3 outside,) but still there were only two people. the kerl came and took our order after 20 25 minutes we were sitting there, and after 25 minutes we went and chased our coffee we had also ordered brunch. After another 20 minutes we asked for our food and after another 25 minutes we decided to go the hour (10 minutes away). we then stood up, explained that we didn't feel like waiting anymore and then got the explanation that the person who had taken the job had forgotten to send him through, so if we wanted to do the job now, it will be fast... we went and I tended to write this place in my little black book. we didn't even get an apology that we spent almost two hours (that eat twice) and nobody even realized that we never wanted to get our order. total shame.

We chose this restaurant from the huge choices because of the good looking menu and pleasant atmosphere inside. when we entered a manager (or owner)? and my fri... read more We chose this restaurant from the huge choices because of the good looking menu and pleasant atmosphere inside. when we entered a manager (or owner)? and my friend tried his best (although still quite poor German for a table for two. we. have shown one table and it seemed to go downhill from the point where the manager asked us if we needed a German or English menu when he seemed insulted that we were asking for an English. he was almost rude in the wise as he served us and seemed particularly uninterested in providing and friendly service for us at all. we both ordered the Schnitzel-Schinkenberg, my friend wanted to rip the, but the manager told him they were from the menu and stood above him as he quickly tried to make another decision, finally on the same as I had chosen for lightness. I asked for a broth basket and was told that the portions are large so I didn't need one. Although I appreciate this kind of information, the art as I was told was quite abrupt and it confused me a little as I could see all the other tables had brotbaskets, although all their portions also looked great. the food came and it was very good, delicious thin and crispy carvings with well seasoned potatoes and a good salad and perfectly cooked eggs. all very pleasant. we had planned a cocktail here after our meal, but decided against him at the end, as we felt so unwilling by the manager. a real scandal, a bit pleasant service goes a long way.

I asked for a breadbasket and was told that the portions are big so I didn't need one. Although I appreciate this kind of info the way that I was told was quite abrupt and it confused me a bit as I could see all other tables had breadbaskets even though all their portions looked big too. The food arrived and it was very good, delicious thin and crispy schnitzel with well seasoned potatos and a good salad and perfectly cooked eggs. All very enjoyable. We had planned to have a some cocktails here after our meal but decided against it in the end as we just felt so unwelcomed by the manager. A real shame, a bit of pleasant service goes a long way.

And balanced plate. Lovely owner too and very homely staff. Lovely ambience too with perfect lighting and decor. You could stay here all night.
