Dolcevita - Bergamo

I've been to Dolcevita on a couple of occassions before, on both we took it home and enjoyed it. If you have intolerances or particular dietary requirements the food is hassle free, and lovely. On this particular occasion, we decided to have brunch here. Service was excruciatingly slow, we got given a menu, and had our order taken only because we chased the waitress to come to our table; that took about 20 minutes. Half an hour after that, we stopped the waitress asking if we could at least have our drinks. About 10 minutes later, our food came: it looked delicious and tasted very good, the only downside is that the waffles were cold and slightly chewy, meaning they waited before bringing them over. Our drinks came after the food (this is a first for me, they usually arrive first); we ordered two milks and a smoothie. The smoothie was short of dish water: it was tart, acidic and with no consistency; disgusting doesn't even cover it. With the milks we had a misunderstanding, we thought they'd be flavoured milkshakes, but they were just warm (not hot, warm) milk with a hint of flavour topped with whipped cream; this too packed some consistency, it was very watery and lacking in flavour. Overall, this experience wasn't great. I wouldn't recommend to go eat there, but I would defiantly recommend buying sweets and cakes to take away, as they are delicious! On the other hand, management needs to do something about waiting times, as mine is not the only review lamenting about them.

Before we dropped our son off at the airport, we wanted to have a last quick coffee together. I didn't know Dolcevita, but I am glad we had our coffee here! We had a Machiatone and it tasted great. We also bought some pastries for in the car and they were great too. Nice place; nice staff as well. I can definitely recommend this place for a coffee and cake.

The food here is so good, and the place has a great atmosphere. The staff is superfriendly and nice. Makes it very easy to go back! Love it.

Amazing place!! everything is well prepared with cure of details and creativity. It offers the Possibility to eat healthy food in a very cozy and beautiful place. Absolutely recommended!!

Various breakfast options, cakes, croissants..Vegan friendly. Nice appearance of the dishes.
