I visited Annabellas for the first time today and I am so glad I did. Without Google, I wouldn't have known anything about this place. The interior of the restaurant is stunning and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, working well together. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We shared the vodka rigatoni and a 16oz NY strip steak, both of which were... View all feedback.
What Juliet Schaefer doesn't like about Annabella's Italian:
This is not our beloved Annabella's from Bristol. They are under new ownership, which we were not aware of. What a disappointment! The atmosphere was depressing, and the food was not Annabella's quality, and sub par to say the least. They refused to accept what was given to us as a gift of a $50 Annabella's gift certificate, so we spent $80 on a meal for two that was definitely not worth $80. Never again...I do NOT r... Great service, food not so much, will never return.
This restaurant had a weird set-up as it was not easy to locate within the building which also has a nightclub. The food was average for the price. The Italian bread was served cold and had no seasoning or any flavor. It was comparable to a loaf you could purchase at the grocery store. Stuffed shrimp was served with medium sized shrimp and the crab stuffing was saucy and had no crab chunks. It tasted OK but it was not what I had expected. Cheesecake topped with strawberries was delicious. Shrimp cocktail had ample large shrimp cooked perfectly and served chilled. The vegetable side dish was good as the broccoli and carrots were not over cooked. Our waitress was very nice. After posting this review, I saw the review with photos of the food. The stuffed shrimp I got certainly did not look like the one in the photo. That's what I was anticipating. I now feel like I was ripped-off. My three stars now appears generous.
We dined there this evening for our six year anniversary the atmosphere was very nice. Our soup, salad and appetizers all came out at one time so I had to decide do I eat my hot French onion soup or my hot clams casino. I ordered the surf and turf for dinner and when she brought the plate out I immediately smelled the lobster was very fishy. I had one bite tasted extremely fishy knew something was not right and I told the waitress when she came by she apologized and asked if she can bring me something else. when the chef came out to ask how our dinner was I told him that the lobster was very fishy and something was not right. he told the waitress to take it back and take something off our check. When she returned with our check she said the other chef would not allow her to take anything off and she apologized. Granted, I have no problem paying for food. we spent $600 last week on a dinner at steak 48 in Philadelphia I have no problems paying for good food. But this was a surf and turf dinner that was $60 and the lobster portion was definitely bad fish. Not good.
Our dinner was delicious. We went early before it got crowded. It was difficult to find in the building.
