Contribute FeedbackShoeless Joe in Belleville offers a mixed dining experience, with some customers voicing dissatisfaction over rushed service and inconsistent food quality, while others praise the excellent dishes and attentive staff. The atmosphere is noted to be pleasant, especially on the patio. While some had issues with undercooked noodles and warm Caesars, others enjoyed the pecan-crusted chicken and jalapeño burger. The accommodating staff, including a cook who went above and beyond to adjust the spice level of a dish, received high praise. With a range of experiences, Shoeless Joe seems to be a hit or miss dining destination.
We thought we would give this place a second chance this passed Friday evening, no complaints getting a seat the place was practically empty, we started with I think it was an artichoke cheese dip and it wasn't bad except the chips tasted stale, I had Slamming Siricha wing dinner that consist of 8 TINY wings that were grossly over cooked, 2 sticks of celery, 2 sticks of carrots and a little dish of fries that I swear were cooked 20 minutes before everything else, my girlfriend had the San Diego wrap she said it was like eating sawdust and showed me the inside so I could see how dry it was and her fries must have been cooked with mine because they also tasted like they had been done and sitting around well before our food was ready...we each had a drink I can't remember hers but I had a draft Stella that was well over $8 for a glass of draft beer...sorry but for $70 bucks for not much there are better options especially if you want wings...to me just another place that is too much like a fast food joint and not enough passion in the kitchen to care whether it's good or bad !!
We stop at SJ for late dinner before heading to our hotel. Nice atmosphere. We were in dining zone. Food was excellent. I've ate the 3 cheeses and jalapeno burger. It was my 2nd time in a SJ, so far no disapointment. Will stop again.
The food was decent and it was a good atmosphere especially if you like sports. They had 3 games going at once on very large screens and that was the dining area. The bar was something else entirely. Service was good and even the manager checked in on us.
Great atmosphere, great food and great service. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our server was over to take our drink order pretty quickly.
Meh. Food was 'ok'. Nothing special. A little overpriced for what you get. Server was good and attentive (didn't get his name unfortunately). Screaming kid behind us. The family was apparently friends of the manager. Why do people bring their young ones to a bar like this?? Just once I'd like to go for a cold beer and some good food without kids running around. But hey, that's just me.
