The Friendly Toast - Bedford

Our experience was exceptional, thanks in large part to our waitress, Lauralee (apologies if i have misremembered her name). Without any prompting, she took it upon herself to give us a detailed breakdown of the menu, which was so helpful to us as we were first time visitors to the Friendly Toast. Our drinks and food were great, and Lauralee made sure to check on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. It was heartwarming to see her take moments out of her busy schedule to engage with the children at the table next to us as well. Her service was the highlight of our experience and we will be returning because of her.

This place is great! Whoever thought if the outdoor play area is GENIUS! Our server Thalia was fantastic! I am writing to express my disappointment with the service at your restaurant on my recent visit on Tue May 23 2023. I have been to your restaurant a few times before and always had a great experience, but unfortunately, this visit was marred by the behavior of one of your waitresses.During this visit, my friend who is a Muslim made a simple request to remove anything that has pork in it. However, rather than kindly accommodating their request, the waitress responded rudely and raised her voice while telling us to read the menu. I myself have lactose intolerance and requested that the waitress informs me of anything that may contain cheese, but instead of offering any assistance, I felt she was annoyed by our requests. It was an unpleasant experience that could have been easily avoided had this waitress behaved professionally.While the manager was kind and tried to fix things by offering complimentary drinks, I must say that the damage had already been done. I feel sorry for the manager as it must be challenging to manage an employee who is unstable. However, as a customer, I do not expect to be treated so poorly and disrespectfully. It is not a pleasant experience to be belittled by any employee, and it has left an unfortunate impression on me.I have been a regular customer, and I truly enjoyed your restaurant's service and food in the past. However, after the unpleasant experience, I am regretfully considering not returning to the Friendlystoast. I hope that you take my feedback constructively, and use it to improve your service quality in the future.

Save your money and avoid the headache by just going to Tuckers. They seem to be so focused on their fun and quirky atmosphere, they seem to forget WHY people go out to eat, which is for good food. it 's cute that the servers are woke and flaunt it with their work attire , but can I just get some properly cooked eggs? Apparently not here.Again, just go to Tuckers. They 're practically right next door and their food is fantastic! (All locally sourced too)
