This Chinese/Thai restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It was my first time dining here and I would definitely come back again. We started with sweet bread and chili sauce, which was the most delicious bread I have ever tasted. Other restaurants should take notes! What Jay B doesn't like about The Elephant:
Decent service, called to find out where my order was and the lady was polite and helpful. Delivered on time. But the food is really not nice I’m sorry to say. The 4 star overall rating fooled me but unfortunately the one star reviews have been proven true. Food was hot but rice was hard, meat looked and tasted old and of low quality. Left 80% of my plate untouched, couldn’t eat it. Won’t be returning for a second or... View all feedback.

The chairs were comfortable, the restrooms were clean, and the service was exceptional. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. 5 stars from me!
I had dinner at this restaurant last week and the service and food were fantastic. The ambiance is also very lovely. It definitely surpassed my expectations! Perfect for date nights, birthdays, or just to enjoy a delicious evening meal. Two starters, two entrees, and a bottle of wine came to around £60.
I was amazed by this restaurant on my first night in a new town, it set a wonderful impression. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and they had a great variety of Chinese and Thai dishes. I took a menu and will definitely be ordering from here again and bringing back friends.
For the first time to the birthday of my fiancée. the table service was fast and efficient. the food was absolutely delicious! the servings were more than sufficient, had to take some containers, because we could not eat everything. over the whole price were average £20 per head including drinks. a really good night out well worth a visit. we will use them for recourse and then process the review to reflect this.
Went on a weekday so even though we’d booked, it was very quiet- only 3 other tables. Food was excellent and I’ve had a takeaway from here before so I knew portions were big. There’s no parking which is a problem during bad weather. The only thing that spoiled it for me that even though it’s a large restaurant- they put us next to a group of rowdy men. It made conversation hard. But I’ve noticed restaurants do group people together for ease of service. I’d go again.
