What Chris B doesn't like about Spinoza's:
When I tried to explain this to Glen, he suggested that I should find another pizza place and then hung up on me! It was completely uncalled for, especially since I was polite throughout the conversation. Based on this experience, I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of Spinoza's. It's such a shame, as I initially had a good experience there, but this totally changed my perception. View all feedback.
Great pizza, weird location. This review is def on the high-end of the 4's.
Well worth the wait ! The business was short staffed on a Saturday but we're still providing professional, friendly service. I'm a big bbq pizza fan and the Jamaica Marley pizza was right on time for that craving. The food was delicious and I promise my wife and I will definitely be back !
This was my first time at Spinozas. I want to start this review off by thanking the amazing servers that were here on 10/9/21 around 7PM. The place was obviously busy and when we arrived they informed us they were very short staffed so they would be seating us on the patio. This wasn't what we expected but being a business director myself I understand how difficult it is to find staff at this time during COVID. I know that the restaurant was understaffed and sure it took a while for us to get our food but you would never be able to tell from the behavior of our waitresses. They were kind, professional, and graceful the entire time we were there. The owner was actually helping in the kitchen due to low staffing and even made it a priority to come out and light the fire on the patio. The Root Beer was AMAZING! We ordered the Jamaican Marley pizza and the Old Chicago. Both were amazing. My husband and I will definitely be returning. I hope that the girls working that evening see this review. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all of your service.
This place was great! I'm so glad we found it. We had our name in at a different restaurant went walking around the parking lot area. Decided to cancel the first place try this. The outside patio was a great atmosphere. Music, lighting, fire. Staff was friendly attentive. I have to eat dairy gluten free. They had options for both. We will definitely be back. I built my own pizza. Gluten free crust, garlic olive oil base w artichoke hearts, black olives, roasted chicken, pineapple Violife vegan cheese. He had the Bee Sting pizza, I don't know everything that was on it but pepperoni, bacon a hot honey. We also had gluten free meatballs. All was so good.
I shouldn't have any complaints about this restaurant. Everything checks out. The wait on a Saturday evening wasn't terrible. The patio, once the last of the heat of the afternoon is gone is delightful. Our server was friendly, helpful and food came out fast. The menu was eclectic and interesting (within the pizza realm of course). But my pizza, as interesting as it appeared on the menu, was underwhelming. I ordered the chili pepper chicken pizza, hoping for at least a little bit of heat from the chili peppers and green chili pepper jam. It wasn't even remotely spicy. My kids old Chicago was spicier just from the sausage meatballs crumbled up on top. The crust was chewey and flavorless. I'm so glad I ordered the Drunken Goat salad without cranberries, add bacon, because the mango Chardonnay vinaigrette was too sweet and too much. Bottom line: The great thing about pizza is it can be mediocre, cheap and to go. But if your pizza is mediocre, expensive and sit down. . . I'd just rather go to another restaurant at the mall and pay the same price for a non-pizza meal.
