El Nica Food - Beacon

I recently discovered El Nica via instagram and was ecstatic when I saw they are sending nacatamles via mail. We’ll let me tell you that they did not disappoint. The order came in 2 days (I live in NJ) and they were amazing. It is so hard to find authentic nica food so this made our week. Must try!!

If you want to travel by taste bud head over to El Nica. Nica style delicious and all made with care. We got the pollo a la plancha. It was a FULL plate of delicious food. Juicy chicken and winner of the best Cole slaw in Beacon. On the side was guacamole served with an ? on top. Good fat and protein for the win. The food hall is loud with a bar at the back.

Food quality is inconsistent, sometimes when i 've gone flavors are on point and everything 's delicious. last time i went the rice was an overcooked flavorless mushy mess, there were a few shreds of meat, and parts of my order were forgotten (missing the salsa, reminded him about missing salsa but it was never brought). sometimes there are so many overpowering flavors it tastes like they dumped 3x the amount of aromatics and other ingredients into the dishes than they should have. it 'd be better if they focused on consistency. if the rice isn 't good just throw it out it 's rice!edit:lowering my review. check out this childish reply from the owner (note that i haven 't come back in far longer than 2 weeks, i must not be the only person unhappy with the food) Why come back then ?! Stay home and cook yourself. I served you two weeks ago and now you want to review me. There’s always an issue when serving you. No sauce, meat taste like liver. Why even bother to come back ?! Please don’t come back !! Learn how to cook. Trust me I know, you can’t even boil an egg and that says a lot. Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings you a full kitchen with everything you need ??‍????

First time trying Nicaraguan Food, and I must say I'm obsessed! with so many flavors in each dish 10/10
