I get that every Chinese food place makes certain dishes diffently. Somehow, this place screwed up wonton soup? I'll eat anything but I could finish this soup, it was murky and had an odd taste to it. The boneless spare ribs were like dried out jerkey and didn't have much flavor to it. The best takeout Chinese food in the area!! VERY reasonably priced lunch specials and never been disappointed! Highly recommend.
Best fast, fresh Chinese takeout up here where there are few others. LoMein Shrimp w/ Broccoli are always reliably good.
Staying with my brother-in-law and had just flown in from Florida and had a late lunch. So we were looking for a Chinese restaurant in the area. Strictly a takeout restaurant that has a couple of tables in the waiting area. Everything in behind plexiglass. My wife wasn't hungry so she ordered just Egg drop soup and an egg roll. I ordered the King Po Shrimp , slightly spicy with all kinds of vegetables, good. Came with an egg roll and fried rice. I also ordered the WonTon soup which was like water.
The absolute BEST steamed dumplings!!! The ratio of meat filling to wrapper is incredible! You taste the fresh ginger and great dipping sauce. I always order the chicken and broccoli with a black bean sauce, it's fantastic!! I'm so happy Bayville has the best Chinese food around!!!
We've been eating at Chen's for a couple of years now. We had ordered take out at one or two places in Glen Cove for many years but quickly realized that the food at Chen's is consistently of better quality. Yes, the Orient in Bethpage is great but dollar for dollar Chen's is better if take out is what you need. Chen's prices are reasonable, portions are large and the hard working owners are always very pleasant.
