This was my first time visiting this place. I didn't find the place to be as filthy as others have mentioned, however, I did notice a word smell upon entering and the room was a bit too dark for my liking. I had a great experience during my second visit to this restaurant. I really enjoyed the food and the hot sake.

Service We had a party of 5 and was tended to very quickly. Almost immediately after receiving our drinks, the chef arrived. The chef was very entertaining and friendly Food The food is a iffy subject. I'm the moment it was very delicious but once the food sat longer enough and the excitement was over, there was a terrible after taste. On the plus side, a good Samaritan paid for our meal! What nice suprise and blessing! Recommendation I wouldn't recommend this place for Hibachi but I do recommend that everyone eat at a Hibachi grill at least once!
Today was my sixth visit to Shogun in the past few years, but my first visit in well over a year. My first several visits were always wonderfully remarkable, but sadly, I cannot say the same today. Our server was very thoughtful and attentive, but unfortunately, the food was very mediocre. I have never been served food so cold. It wasn't just barely warm, but it was almost cold. Not just cool, but COLD! Cold steak, cold vegetables, cold shrimp. Just very disappointing. Thankfully, it was still moist and very well flavored. If it had been hot, I would not be disappointed at all. It is worth noting that in all my other visits, I have always sat at the hibachi grill and eaten the food fresh off the grill. This time, I ordered from the kitchen and sat at a normal table. Maybe that's the difference. But still, I would never expect cold food.
My husband and I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while, and we finally did. The service was quick, but unfortunately, the food was quite greasy. The shrimp had a strong, unpleasant sea taste that we did not enjoy. I had to brush my teeth multiple times as soon as I got home. While the food was edible, we do not plan on returning due to the excessive grease. We are unsure if the greasiness was due to our choice of sitting at a table instead of in front of the hibachi cook, but either way, we did not appreciate the greasy taste.
