Saw this on trip advisor and thought we would give it a try. The food was superb and the service excellent. We would certainly go back here again. I was impressed also with the lovely big teapot of steaming tea.....thankyou View all feedback.
What jjohnschofield doesn't like about Tasty 1:
After being told to sit any where but the only table not by a door on a very cold night was dirty we waited 5 minutes before the table was cleaned. After another 5 minutes we managed to attract a waiters attention and get a menu.Yet another 5 minutes passed without managing to get any service and after taking in the rather tatty surroundings we decided to leave. Thanks for visiting said a waitress as walked out. View all feedback.

The waitress was extremely rude and the service was awful. The food quality is very poor. A noisy group of Chinese people were celebrating a birthday and not considering other customers. The restaurant is dirty and the decor is unattractive. We hope we don't get food poisoning tomorrow. We will not return.
If you're looking for sweet and sour deep fried chicken balls and chips, this restaurant is not for you. However, they offer a wide variety of delicious Chinese dishes that are hard to come by in the UK. The garlic stalks with tofu were particularly tasty. They serve generous portions of sticky rice and have a good selection of drinks. The bathrooms could use some improvement, but the flavorful food more than compensates for it. We had a group with a meat eater, pescatarian, and vegan, and everyone was satisfied with the ample options available.
The majority of customers at this restaurant were Chinese, and they were all served before any European patrons were acknowledged. The soup was average, with very little pork in the sweet and sour batter. The prawns were cooked with their heads on and were swimming in oil. The sticky rice was okay. I typically don't write negative reviews, but this is one restaurant to avoid.
