We stayed in Bastrop for 10 weeks. We have tried a lot of different places but i just love one. The salad that comes with most dishes is great, especially the cucumber. The food is probably the freshest in town. Very well suited for the hot temps that you will get here in summer. Very good service as well. Young and nice team. What Tam W doesn't like about Lab C Food Kitchen:
We've tried it twice. The only thing we have liked were the steamed dumplings. The staff was pleasant, service was slightly above average. No salt/pepper/soy sauce on the table. Not much ambiance to write about. Average small walk in restaurant. We were really hoping the first time we went a year or so ago was just a one off bad day but we won't try it a third time. First visit, definitely going back. Had beef stir fry and shaking beef with fried dumpling app. Will update next time.
