Large car park to rear. Friendly prompt service. Very nice food, fresh cakes etc. reasonably priced. Nice surroundings. Large outside seating area. Only issue was an influx of rather loud Lycra clad cyclists, who were not quite ‘built’ should I say, to wear Lycra… left nothing to the imagination (unfortunately) and may have put those with a delicate disposition off their food! What Lucy Patel doesn't like about Chilli Petals:
After hearing good things about chilli petals, I decided to try. I arrived at 15:50. there were customers and I went to the café section. beautiful florists and gift shop I thought. there was personal, no problem, and I asked if they were still open and serve. While driving back north on the A1 from our holiday, we were in need of a place to stop for a light lunch and a drink. Spontaneously, we decided to exit at Tuxford in search of something better than a typical motorway stop. To our delight, we stumbled upon Chilli Petals, a charming café in the village with its own parking lot (a rare find nowadays). The food was delicious - I had the most amazing toasted sandwich and my husband enjoyed a tasty quiche and salad. Despite its small appearance from the front, a large brown sign reading "coffee" caught our eye. In addition, there is a quaint shop at the back offering unique items and greeting cards. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be returning in the future.
Heading North we left the A1 and were very lucky to find this gem of a cafe. Great food, super friendly staff and cosy surroundings. We travel North very regularly and we will definitely be back.
