Love a nice, casual dinner here with family. Prefer to sit at the Community Table or Bar and relax with a nice glass of wine and the bar steak. Friend loves the Chicken Parm. My kids love either the steak or pizza. Dietary restrictions: GF View all feedback.
What Valerie Radcliffe doesn't like about Mezzaluna Willits:
im not from around this area but my dad and i were visiting and decided to get lunch/ dinner here. worst mistake, i got chicken parm, when i tell you the chicken traumatized me it did. i took one bite and it was hard as a rock my dad thought i was being dramatic so he took a bite and spit it right back out, worst chicken i have ever had, i would recommend literally anything but the chicken, will not be returning. I called before we went, to make sure I would be able to find vegan food to eat and the gentleman assured me Oh YEAH, we have LOTS of vegan food for you! My husband and I were on a weekend getaway to Aspen. He is not vegan, and I was craving Italian, so we decided to give it a shot. They do NOT, in fact, have very many vegan options. I wound up being charged full entree price for a plate of 8 slices of tomato with balsamic vinegar and some fresh basil on them. I couldn 't eat the table bread, and when they brought out one piece for my husband, they brought red chili flakes and grated Parmesan with it. Like in a pizza shop. No balsamic vinegar to go with the olive oil. ? My husband ordered a house special cocktail, the Willit 's Delight Martini. It was supposed to have grapefruit and other citrus flavors. It did not. He asked them to remake it, and the next one was pretty much just vodka with ice chips. They charged us full price for both cocktails. My husband 's entree was so heavily buttered that was all he could taste. Our server was cheerful and apologetic, but overall it was NOT a good experience.
Spot on pizzas and good affordable wine selection. Bar was full when we arrived in early evening in the off season which is always a good sign to me.
Italian was amazing! The steak had a bit to be desired.

Edit: to respond to the owner. I cook pizza with an ooni pizza oven, and have for many years. Believe me when I say your dough might’ve been the worst I’ve ever thrown with, suitable for perhaps only hardtack.Others beware, if this is the level of service they provide over Google reviews, imagine what it’s like in person???I’m sure the food is okay, like much of the food in the valley. Not as good as Aspen, passable in Denver but decent for mountain food. Whys the two stars, one might ask? The absolutely horrific pizza dough I bought.Called to get some dough. They said they needed to prepare it. “Oh no problem, must be cut and seperated. I showed up and promptly paid 30 dollars for 4 dough balls. Again, it must be good because their pizza looks fire!I go back to my campsite, excited to whip out the ooni and cook up some pies. Impress my friends and woo some hearts. Instead, I start making pizza with dough that could only be described as “made for hard tack”. I mean, literally just flour and water with no fermentation. I can’t believe they would bamboozle anyone with promises of “homemade dough” only to piss in a flour bag and sell it. My friends were disappointed and I felt the fool,30 dollars lighter. I love supporting local business and as a Colorado native, I love the valley. But by god, I got got
