My medium steak was quite tender, although it was slightly more cooked than I typically prefer. It could have used a bit more seasoning. The loaded sweet potato and fried okra were both excellent, and the side salad was a reasonable portion. Overall, the meal was decent, but I favor Longhorn Steakhouse. View all feedback.
What Jamie B doesn't like about Colton's Steak House Grill:
Awful experience and will never return. I should have known when the place wasn’t crowded on a Friday night at 7:30. Service was extremely slow and non attentive. I ordered an appetizer and never received it. Steak was order medium and came out like beef jerky. I asked for sour cream for the baked potato and never saw the waitress until I was finished and she brought the check. Of course it included the appetizer whi... View all feedback.
This is a favorable rating. I try to take in to account the fact no one wants to work anymore and it is extremely hard to find good employees. I along with 3 other people run a local business and understand those struggles. Now, if you take that in to account and subtract the length of time it takes to get your food, our dinner was definitely atleast a 4 star. Food was hot and correct. Just shows that the people they do have still have respect for their job and are doing the best they can. I would definitely recommend this location and food choice to anyone. Won't break the bank and plenty of great choices.
Service was great, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food is good, but don't expect your steak to be true steakhouse quality. I had the rib eye, which was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but was really thin and obviously a cheaper cut than you'd find in most places calling themselves a steakhouse. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size you receive. The yeast rolls were some of the best I had ever had. Slightly crisp on the outside and soft inside. I could have feasted on them alone. Drinks took a little longer to get than we'd like, but we never saw a bartender working the bar and drinks were brought from the kitchen, so they may have been a little shorthanded. We will definitely be back.
I would like to thank our server Alisha. She did an awesome job although she wasn't supposed to be our server. She took it upon herself to assist our table since our server decided she wasn't coming out anytime soon. Why come to work if you're not going to do your job. We were disappointed in some of the portion sizes. The 6oz sirloin was more like 4oz. Also we had the catfish rib combo. Normally it comes with 2 pieces of catfish half rack of ribs. The ribs were fine however, they gave us 2 small catfish nuggets. When we asked about it, the server said that's how it comes. The server offered to make it right. We understand the increasing cost of food supplies. However don't short change your customers by cutting full pieces of meat in half serving that to customers.
Wife got the small sirloin and I got the sirloin tips with peppers and onions. Forgot our chainsaws to cut the meat. “Baked potatoes” would barely melt the butter. This was at 5 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. The salad and rolls were excellent and those were the highlight of the meal. Don’t like to bad mouth waiters, they have a difficult job. But, at least ask me if I would like another glass of tea. At $3.19 a glass, I would like as much as I can drink. Won’t be visiting this restaurant again. The sad part is I can remember when we used to frequent this restaurant because of their good food and good service.
Of course it included the appetizer which I had to have removed. Then she had one pen and took another five minutes to get me one to sign the check. I would recommend elsewhere.
