This was about as authentic as it gets. Chicken tacos, fantastic!!!! They have a all of the above appetizer, which is guacamole, queso, pico de gallo, and chips. Tamales, empanadas, mexican corn. So many nice appetizers to choose from. Its a nice rustic, place. Outside seating and a margarita bar outside! Plus, seating inside and a huge bar inside. Great place. View all feedback.
What Paul H doesn't like about Dos Gringos:
This restaurant is run in a similar way to a fraternity. If that suits your taste, you'll enjoy it. But if not, you may be disappointed. I don't see much potential for the future here, as it lacks inspiration. Give it a chance, but keep your expectations modest. View all feedback.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic, and none of us had any complaints in our group of five. The only reason I am giving it a 4-star rating is because of the Margaritas. They are quite pricey, similar to what you would find in New York City, but unfortunately, the quality of the margaritas is not up to par. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dining, but I would suggest looking elsewhere if you are looking for great drinks.
This place was awful. We were told to take a table inside and someone would help us. No one came to the table, but the people at the table next to us were sending their food back or hadnt gotten food yet. I went in search of a waitress who finally gave us a menu...$17 for a burrito at this dive? Finally, the lady at the table next to us told us, run while you can! So we did!
Decent tacos and good cocktails but the service was very very slow. We waited for our tacos for an hour. Came in with 7 others and we got the three dip appetizer- guac, queso, pico. The guac was super fresh but needed more salt and lime, the queso definitely had flour in it and you can tell the flour wasn't cooked out because it was more grainy than smooth, the pico was decent. The chip to dip ratio was soooooo off. We had a small handful of chips and so much dip, we got more chips and ran into the same problem again. I tried the vegan tacos and the fish tacos. The tacos were pretty good, not the best but definitely not bad at all especially for being in that area. The cocktail I had was the best part of my experience... a tequila, pineapple, jalepeno cocktail- YUM!
Way too expensive, for a hole in the wall place in the middle of no-where! Ok tasting food, nothing to brag about! Note to the Owners 90% of real Mexican establishments give free chips and salsa, you guys are charging what? Like $7.50 or something? Guess that 's where the Gringo Greed comes in!
