The hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was fantastic! The cake selection was beautiful and the food portions were generous. Overall, I would give this place a perfect 10 out of 10! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Millers Tearoom:
I recently got a take-out coffee and cake from this restaurant and asked for some water to take with my medications. I was given an empty paper cup and told to use the tap outside that is meant for dogs. The tap wasn't even working. We are regular patrons of this cafe as we live nearby, but after this incident, I don't think we will be coming back. It's a shame because we like to support local businesses, but if they... Visited the teeroom after a nice walk through the reservoir. the employees were brilliant, very friendly at the arrival and fast sitting. the menu variant is good, with a good selection of sweet and hearty options. in any case worth a visit!
I have visited this cafe a number of times and have always experienced friendly courteous staff. Food is always excellent. I don't have a bad word to say for this place
Food nice. Customer service shocking. On arrival. ‘Have you got a dog?’ ‘How many of you’ ‘you can sit here’. When ordering, the waitress wouldn’t serve me ANY food due to me having a nut allergy. Very abrupt customer service and the way she spoke...to other staff could be heard from the table. She had ginger and black hair with glasses on. Would be beneficial for her to gain some experience greeting customers and managing other staff in a gentler manner (especially if this can be heard as a customer). Sat on a table next to the door which was freezing. To say we were going in for a ‘warm from the outside’ it wasn’t great.
We visited on one of the monthly bistro evenings, a Greek night to be exact . Service a surroundings were not a problem in any way. Onto the food , first course was half a stuffed roasted pepper , the pepper was quite small and...stuffed with quite blanned un seasoned rice , Mains came and the disappointment continued, the kebabs , whilst generous in portion were not chargrilled, tasteless and looked rather inedible . The moussaka was terrible , greasy , congealed cheese on top , and was a real letdown .all served with a random bowl of what resembled semi boiled roast whole small potatoes and a tomato salad ! Deserts were very poor baklava was way too hard and dry. This came as highly recommended, but we will not be returning
Visited numerous times during the past months and apart from our last visit, we have been highly satisfied. Long list of drinks and cakes available while the inside was closed and the cafe was only serving through the window, of which we tried many and...all were delicious especially the red velvet and Yorkshire curd tart. On our last visit, the selection of cakes was poor so we tried the bacon sandwiches and were disappointed. The bacon was not cooked well and the rind left on. Will give breakfast a miss next time and perhaps try lunch as we have enjoyed previous visits.
