To wash it down, I ordered a hot chocolate which tasted more like cocoa powder. The service at the restaurant was disappointing, as we had to repeatedly call for assistance. My friend was shocked by the lack of interest shown by the two servers, and I have no intention of returning. I'm tired of kosher restaurants charging high prices for subpar food and then adding on a service charge. It feels like a rip-off considering their already inflated prices. Usually, the service is abysmal.
One of the best hidden gems I've found is Maxim's. The food is delicious, the service is welcoming, and the ambiance is calm and cozy compared to the busy and loud restaurants nearby. I highly recommend it for small gatherings with friends or family where you can actually have a conversation without shouting!
