This has been a favourite of ours for a weekend breakfast for some time. Good service, and great location. I always enjoy the big brekkie and they are always accommodating of my 'no eggs' requests - something that is often too hard for other venues. Prices are reasonable for the breakfast menu and the environment s very hard to beat. Best to book ahead for a courtyard table if you are after a later breakfast/ brunch... View all feedback.
What Beatriz Godínez doesn't like about The Meeting Pool - Montsalvat:
The restaurant as a space is nice. The food is below average. We tried the sides. Extremely greasy food. I am from UK and I presume we have been spoilt by having the real haloumi from Cyprus. The dip that was served with the haloumi , apparently yoghurt,...was very sour. I have no idea what the cheese was! Definitely not haloumi. It is a real shame. How can you not make roast potatoes? They were soggy and covered in oi... View all feedback.
It’s tuesday but they aren’t open, definitely love the look of the building, they are so vintage and gorgeous, love it! will be back to try the food one day, also saw them have the goose running loose like a pet, so adorable.
I understand how stressful it must be with staff shortages (due to covid or not) I can see they’re trying during tough times. The coffee is wonderful however I would in the kindest way like to provide feedback for the service. As I mentioned, I understand it’s a stressful time and you guys can also get busy! Which is great, you’re serving the people who want to see the beautiful landscape and activities Montsalvat have on offer. I would just like to mentioned how you manage that stress goes a long way. Especially when it comes across in your tone with other paying customers. It may be better to explain to these such customers who make you feel overwhelmed or stressed that there “may be a wait” and or “please excuse the wait we’re experiencing staff shortages today” instead of allowing yourself to feel overwhelmed and frantic instead of it coming out onto other customers. It doesn’t create a warm or welcoming environment and it quiet honestly makes someone like me not want to return because I feel like a bother. I know serving rude people is tough as I work in hospitality but heck, if someone needs to wait let them wait. If you’re creating a friendly, warm welcoming environment I’m sure they’ll have no issue. Especially if you just explain kindly any troubles in the moment that may cause delays etc. Keep cool, calm and collected. 4 stars for trying and the consistently great coffee of course. And all the best for business and health in the year ahead
Always a pleasure to spend some time brunching or lunching away in their quaint and serene courtyard which instantly transports you to another place and time! Service is always warm and friendly, and they always manage to squeeze us in even when they are super busy. Love the coffee, yummy muffins and corn fritters!
Beautiful surroundings, food was great. They were short staffed, but I knew this as they had a sign on the door. So yes they took a while with the drinks, but that was fine. Staff under pressure but kept smiling. Good on you.
Lovely setting, great service friendly staff. Such a relaxed atmosphere, the staff didn't stand over us, they let us be, the food was very tasty. Nice place for a catch up with friends
