Saw a line of people and stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Line on the sidewalk was for the cannabis store next door. So I checked out this place. Friendly staff. Some creative and good beers. Not a lot to choose from. The building is very cool place. I didn't have anything to eat. I will definitely be back after learning about the bands that play there. Some great old legends. What Adam W doesn't like about Cognito Brewing:
Ticked we drove the 20 minutes to find this place. Yelp said they were open. Kind of ruined date night on vacation... had to scramble to find another place. Wouldn't recommend if they can't even keep their site up to date. View all feedback.
Stopped in for lunch and a couple drinks. Great beer and food! Very friendly owners and beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Nice to have such a great little brewery in Bangor! Also, great prices!
Paid $12 for a burger worth about $6 We drive past pretty often going to Kalamazoo so we have been wanting to visit. The building looks amazing and the inside does not disappoint. We came for dinner and both ordered burgers since nothing else really called to us on the menu. They were alright but nowhere worth the price of $12. We will not be back.
Drove by this brewery on a Sunday on our way to South Haven, and knew we had to stop on our way home. Very cool historical building that makes for a great atmosphere. The bartender and owner were there, and told us about the different beers. They also have a charm for tag-a-brew, if you collect them. I would definitely check this place out again!
Stopped in on a whim and I did read the other reviews so I was skeptical. We went on a Saturday at 12:15, and there were only 4 other people there so we didn 't have to wait at all. The bartender/ owner was really nice and helped us choose some food and beer. He gave a sample of the beer so that helped me choose what to order, I settled on a Saison. Since they brew their own beer it changed time to time. The food was ok. This is why I gave only 4 stars. I had a wrap which was really just some goat cheese, tomato and lettuce inside a pita. My husband had the turkey wrap, very similar but with the addition of turkey. The way the menu is written, we thought the romaine lettuce was the wrap and since we watch carbs we were excited for that. Then we found out no, the pita was the wrap. We also had a hummus and veggie plate which was good. The coffee was brewed in a French press! And it was damn good!! My husband was stoked about this! So the coolest part of this is the building itself, which is an old grain elevator. The upstairs is where the grain rooms were and after some renovation you can walk through each room, my kids called it a maze! They hold events there, mainly weddings. For this reason they are closed on a lot of the weekends during the summer months. They said to call during the summer to see if they are open on weekend nights. They have a very eclectic vibe, and every thing that is a part of their decor was collected and placed there. The tables don 't match, chairs don 't match, silverware is all over the place, and all your drinks will come in different glasses. Every the coffee creamers are varied, and some antiques! Their mug club uses hand blown glass mugs. I mean how cool! Anyway, check them out. You won 't be mad you stopped in.
Went back to give another chance... still horrible beer and food. service sucks and prices are ridiculous... I tried
