We were in Banff for a family vacation and came to thus restaurant for Diner on a Saturday evening. I ordered an oignon soup as an appetizer but never received it. The kids had burgers and Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken and I had the grilled chicken. Everything was just ok, we had to wait forever. Delicious in house made burgersExceptional serviceFresh produce Saltlik is a famous restaurant in calgary that has extended to the banff area.
We had wanted to go to the pizza place next door Bear something Tavern and we had put our names in, but was advised the wait was 1.5 hrs.
We called by without a reservation but were sat immediately at a high bar table. Regular burgers and steak menu. Lively bar with TVs showing sports. Good food - good sized portions.
We were a party of four and arrived early for drinks at the bar downstairs. Everyone's cocktail was great, my husband especially enjoyed the one with salted caramel vodka and baileys. We were seated on time. Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable about the menu. We shared the cheese/meat plate and had Filet Mignon, Ribs, and Bison for dinner. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We also tried Lobster Mashed, Truffle Mac & Cheese and Scalloped Potatoes. They were all delicious too! Highly recommend this restaurant.
So good, we went back twice. Ate in the restaurant upstairs, the more informal sports bar downstairs and also outside. Same menu, just different experience, all good.
