Contribute FeedbackA dining experience at Azumi offers mixed reviews from guests. While some guests rave about the fantastic food, ambiance, and drinks, others criticize the service and seating arrangements. Compliments are given to the amazing food and overall great atmosphere, but complaints arise regarding slow service, undercooked mushrooms, and a mix-up with drink orders. A reservation mishap and overpriced small portions are also mentioned. Despite some shortcomings, guests speak highly of the food quality, ambience, and excellent cocktails. With a few improvements needed, Azumi remains a restaurant worth checking out for a memorable dining experience.
Love it!! They have a lot of great options and I been here a few time and got to I know off the menu items!
We did the entry level tasting menu. We tried about 10 items. My buddy said this was best California roll he has ever had it just melted in our mouth. The sequence that things came out in was great since the saki we picked pared well with each course. The Waygu was great but a bit chewy than other ones I’ve tried.
Azumi is an Japanese fusion restaurant with a nice view of the water. Some issues started during ordering. Initially they weren’t able to accommodate a pescatarian for the omakase option. They were able to make adjustments on the fly, but at this price point (comparable to Michelin star restaurants) in a sushi restaurant the initial lack of variability seems a bit silly. The omakase was generally good, but had a few misses. At this price point that’s pretty rough. Dishes were also rarely explained, which would have been a good touch. As far as dishes go: Yellowtail jalapeno was oversauced. Crispy rice tuna was great in texture and taste. Tempura crab was also excellent. Wagyu gyoza was good too. The california roll was good (and uses real crab, to be clear). Sashimi and nigiri were good but not particularly standout. Wagyu beef was fantastic. The pescatarian received miso black cod, which was also delicious and perfectly cooked. The Spicy lobster miso soup was unfortunately too salty for most of the table’s taste. Dessert was a great way to end the meal though. The coconut almond chocolate bar and strawberry tofu cheesecake were all incredible. Service was generally good, with regular checkins and water always being topped off. Overall, a good experience, but probably just go for the fried appetizers, the wagyu, and the desserts. The tasting menu didn’t quite feel worth it, and the sushi didn’t stand out for the price.
The view is beautiful that is the reason why we ended up going to this place. I am not sure if it was really worth the money specially for vegetarians.
It’s always a great time at Azumi. The service is spot on the whole spot is a vibe and the food is amazing!!! We love this place!!
