What Ian B doesn't like about Bbs cafe central square:
We attended at BB 's for a breakfast of Bacon and Eggs and were very sorry that we did. Upon ordering the big brekky for my wife and myself i was asked, How would you like your eggs? I replied, poached please to which the reply was, we don 't do poached so I ordered scrambled. The meals came out and to our disgust they were worse than a 10 year old would do on a Mothers or Fathers Day.... The scrambled egg was averag... View all feedback.
The scrambled egg was average, bacon cold, tomato luke warm and the mushrooms you couldn 't eat as they just didn 't taste right. BUT the toast was nice. Never again there are plenty of nice eateries around Ballarat this not being one of them.
Popped in here for a coffee whilst out shopping. We had a lovely cup of coffee. They serve it with scones jam and cream if you wish. There is also an array of small cakes and you can eat indoors or out in the hallway. Coffee was nice and the staff friendly and happy.
This is a fantastic spot for enjoying coffee and cake or a light lunch/breakfast. They offer a wide selection of food items and are kid-friendly.
Went for lunch. Wife daughter in law ordered lasagne with salad chips, grandkids chicken nuggets chips fortunately I didn't fancy anything on the menu. Lasagne looked like home brand frozen, microwaved chips looked awful. One taste both females said it was frozen lasagne and grandkids even refused to eat theirs. The staff were standing around looking disinterested as the place was almost empty (now we know why). Saw a chicken Parma come out it looked like a $2 one from Coles with something on top don't know what. Only giving a rating of one because can't give zero. Never again.
If you find yourself in Ballarat, make sure to stop by this restaurant for lunch. The soup is rich and flavorful, the service is fast and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The location in Central Square is convenient for both work and shopping. I highly recommend dining here.
