For the best authentic pizza I have tasted in Australia, I would take the time to visit Terra Mia. We had afternoon snacks provided by our friends (who at the time were having wedding photos taken) and the pizza just kept flowing. Amazing base and just right toppings. View all feedback.
What Matt W doesn't like about Il Porcellino:
Probably one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. I sent the veal involtini back, it was tough old steak, no fuss from the lovely staff which made me think they had seen it all before. Do yourself a favour don’t go View all feedback.
The food is always great and the staff are awesome love getting pizza from them it's always delicious
There is not one redeeming factor about our recent dining experience at this Italian restaurant. No gluten free pasta, no fresh pasta, no fresh seafood, no cutlery, no service. Ordered Fettuccine Marinara only to receive Penne Marinara. When I enquired why, was told they had run out of Fettuccine and she forgot to tell me about it. I wish they had have run out of both pasta and frozen marinara mix. You cant have chips and vegetables. Its either chips and salad or vegetables. When asked why, the waitress said its not my decision. Dont bother about the entree of caramilised scallops. Frozen things from the Jurassic age warmed up in some tasteless beetroot brothy slurry. Was not brave enough to look at dessert or coffee. Anyway I can honestly say this place has got life.
The folks at Il Porchellino aren't going to or trying to win any Michellin Stars, but for a family friendly venue with good food and friendly service that won't break the bank, they're a real gem. (I think they're under new management compared to the reviews from a few years ago)
Pizza’s are soooo good here. Wont order from anywhere else. The taste and quality are way above the rest and the people are lovely
A nicely set out restaurant. Was somewhat busy and a little difficult to get staff attention but that was understandable. All the dishes we had were quite good however the scallopini was tough in some places... Also a suggestion for the gelato- the hard chocolate ball it comes out in needs to be thawed out some more before arriving at the table- some of our party spent a lot of time trying to crack it open without it flying out of the bowl and had to look on while we ate our deserts for 5 or so minutes.
