The service and server were excellent. The crispy squid starter was excellent. However, the roast dinners were disappointing. The beef was overcooked, the veggies were undercooked, and there was no seasoning. View all feedback.
What Jjjjj doesn't like about The George at Baldock:
Food was extremely poor, pork belly was burnt. Was charged for water but tap water was refused as an option. Nice restaurant inside but food was shocking and expensive for such a bad meal. Was not asked how meal was until end and then plates were not cleared when asked. View all feedback.
A Sunday dinner, eating was hot, although I sat in the garden, everything tasted great and the personal looked at us well, for the first time in george iw I hope to come back again when I am back on this wise, thank you.

Had a really lovely birthday meal at the George. My husband had fish and chips, batter was crisp and food was hot I had vegetable Wellington, on a bed of mash potatoes with vegetables. Food was hot and tasty.
Very nice meal and ambience, socially distanced etc, but we were the only ones there!!! Come on u Brits, come out and help local businesses, stop hiding indoors, otherwise there will be no restaurants to go to anymore!!
Really good food and service. Second visit and will return. Limited menu due to Covid, but excellent
