New premises opened late 2015. Own micro-brewery producing agreeable beer. Average Bavarian food quality, definitely not fast food and if you are looking for atmosphere, look somewhere else in Bad Toelz. Nice beer mats! View all feedback.
Yesterday we traveled from Neuschwanstein to Salzburg. We wanted to find a decent place to eat. And found Tolzer Binderbräu. Great place, good food and excellent staff. Recomend!
We ate here several times in a week in Bad Toelz, as recommended by our guesthouse manager and directly across the plaza of the workshop we visited. Beer was great (although unfortunately they ran out of their seasonal special) and the Bavarian articles on the menu like Schnitzel, Goulash and Wurst were wonderful. The dark beer sauce with pork roast was for dying. I would avoid the flatbread dishes as they were either too dry or too greasy. The outdoor garden is beautiful.

However, service was excellent, there were English menus and the waiting staff went out of their way to describe what dishes contained. They serve traditional, local (Bavarian) food and all the meals we ordered were delicious. There was a good selection of beers, wines and soft drink and the deserts were lovely. The bill for 4 of us having mains, deserts and more than one drink was only €85. Excellent value for money and a lovely meal.
Thanks to a recommendation from a local, my daughter and I enjoyed a great lunch at the Tolzer Binderbrau. The beer was just great and our salads were fresh and delicious and very filling. The atmosphere is really fun--inside the restaurant seems very historical and cozy. We ate outside and had fun people watching all those walking toward or from the Promenade. It was a delightful lunch!
Having opened only a few months ago in the Kurhaus area of Bad Tölz, Binder-Bräu has already established its name for craft beer and typical Bavarian cuisine. They brew a few standard beers, such as lager, Weißbier (wheat beer) and dark beer, and in season special beers such as Maibock and others. The menu offers a good choice of Bavarian dishes, including snacks (Brotzeit). When busy, the waiting time for the food is longer than usual, but it is all freshly prepared and very tasty. For a larger group, one can book a guided tour through the brewery which is very recommendable.
