I was invited by an acquaintance to dinner and was no longer in the Delphi restaurant. I can only say that I was very satisfied as always. The food is with me in a consistently good quality over the years. Plaka Teller was my choice. The individual pieces of meat were really very tasty, well seasoned and also grilled. The Pommes as well. The service was also great. What you want more.I like to come back. The Ahrweiler citizens can be happy to have such a good Greek restaurant in their city and should support this in today's difficult times.

After a relatively recent run enjoyment of Greek food, we happened to be passing-by the Delphi and decided to pop in for lunch. With Ahrweiler being a tourist must in the area, the place was far from empty. The interior is a bit dated...imho but still nice. Service was fair, as in general I expect a bit more (and in places I rate, this is what I/we get). It took a bit longer than expected for the meals to arrive after ordering, and whilst potion sizes were generous the food piping hot (and the side-salad tasty, and cool of course), the calamari (the main element) was well over cooked : In the hope of this disappointment being partially offset by a complimentary Ouzo at the end of the meal, another kick down below' informed that they only do this in the evenings [I might add that that the meals we had were off-the-card, which applies to both dinner lunch, at the same price] A return visit likely? Not sure ... being a local it may happen by chance, but not by plan there's still a couple of other Greek restaurants to revisit in Bad Neuenahr and Heimersheim (yet to be reviewed/rated here on TripAdvisor).

Delphi ahrweiler short holiday at the ahr, the red wine paradise. we arrived at the hotel in bad newahr on Friday 20:00. quickly check in, then eat! the hotel restaurant should give me the following night. but where is it going? clear. to the Ahrtypical Greeks... the approaching father-in-law and many with the purse wanted to smell with us already weeks ago. at the weekend it should be ready. with the car from the hotel to ahrweiler. parked in front of the historic city walls of the old city center of ahrweiler free of charge and then once twenty minutes cross and cross between ancient artisan houses and new-fashioned uglyness to find the selected local one. Finally, three young musicians had to come here and show us the way... in front of the restaurant, a narrow, old house with painted work, stand a few tables and chairs. at this sprinkled, but probably less visited. two tables left and right of the door trips day offers. the grilled Dorade... we kick in. in the local all flattering, bright wood and white walls invite. a pretty picture, as a round arch, a little blue and green. I didn't see any figures. a discreet, inviting device. too much was not going on. I guess I'm just bored. in the weinstuben on the way here I had seen significantly more guests. should I take care of this? about ten guests were there. space would be for sure seventy. barely in, we are very kindly greeted by a dame with Rhenish dialect. nanu, no greek? but the chef is also on the go and from the kitchen you can hear foreign sounds (while, the celiac dialect is already falling under foreign language: we can choose a table, even those on which there is a “reserved” sign... we take the sixth in the rear right corner. direct view into the kitchen, the slender counter in the back. the cards are delivered immediately, the candle ignites and we can look in rest. on the table are already cutlery and good paper napkins, also salt and pfeffer mill! otherwise nix on the bright tablecloths. the chairs well padded and comfortable! next to the standart card there was another one with a few separate straightening we wolfsbarsch, dorade and lambkarree. but I didn't notice everything. the normal card surprisingly not as large as expected. (seeing in the [here link] is still too much but rather reduced for such localities. Of course, plenty of appetizers and salads, dishes from the grill (both, lamb, bark and the popular grill plate, but only eleven pieces. there are three pieces for two or four people. five of the dishes, a few noodles and a little fish. I had never eaten this one at a gree before... until today I was also from the wine card. besides the obligatory Greek, also a few good from the ahr. besides the two great cooperatives also weine from the weingut burggarten heppingen. if not regional cuisine, then at least I look for the wine. I then decided for the late Pinotary goodswein 2013. a bottle of water. both were served quite flott after the order. first the wein. the chef didn't let it take me to present the bottle personally and then to uncork with a housewife opener. he was proud to put a pourer with a white cloth in the (bottle neck, which also served to supply the wine with air when pouring out. that was very good to the wine. he had still tangible tannins, which with the time but quickly vanished. the weeping in itself great. christmas paired with johannisbeer and light wood. and a pleasant length. good choice! the water was also only opened at the table and everyone was poured in. before the main dishes we were given a ouzo. not too cold, not too warm. only I was probably too slow for the female service. while serving the appetizers, she wanted to avoid it, but at the moment I could still take it off... the father-in-law chose otopussalat, I chose the variants of the ink fish. the ladies looked at... kalamria (intenfischsalat looked good, smell good, tasted good. around the twenty softly cooked rings of the inkfish tubes were finely marinated in an edgy oil marinade, in between paprika and piling in fine cubes. raw red bevelled brought spices, with an inlaid peperoni, some tomate and gurke and a delicious olive. beautiful dish, delicious neat. 3.5* we served dry white bread, which I did not touch. the salate of my fellow man almost tasted identical. only the bite of “meat” was another. the pulpo itself has a finer taste. when cleaning was kindly asked for satisfaction. the used cutlery was replaced by new ones. then even the supplemental salads came at sight I thought “as expected...” eisberg, a peperoni, but also radicchio and rucola. of which unfortunately this mix of möhren and kraut from the large pack. as well as the delicate pink dressing. salt and pfeffer were completely missing, but we could help us thanks to the mills. that goes better, but was not expected otherwise. 2.5*, but it was quite good. that was also not a small teller that was abundantly occupied. unfortunately a little unhappy. that the kitchen can do something, however, showed the main courses. kalamaria with foil potatoes and zaziki eight or nine fried rings, beautiful in bite, for me unfortunately not crispy enough. tasteful but neat. a thick potato with a thick shell in the aluminium foil. top two tablespoons zaziki. good three stars 3,5* grilled dorade with foil potato and zaziki the court laughed at me already at the entrance door. my first fish in a gree. This time I risked it and was not disappointed. unfortunately only here the kartoffel with the thick bowl. you should put on new kartoffels, that makes more fun. the zaziki was creamy, had a fine garnish and a few small petersilie. I personally lacked the gurke, but it tasted anyway. the real highlight was the fish. delicious. excellently cooked, yet really juicy, fine white meat. I love dorade! that was perfect. in a few stängel petersilie, the fish had also seen enough salt. even the boils and backflows had been removed before, and when the filets were released with the fish knife hardly a bone in the meat. purer genuss remained. even the skin on the top was crispy and tasted very spicy. only the lower one I left behind, she was a little dimmed through. I was really surprised to get such a great fish here. 4.5* the shiny had once lamb lobes with thick beans and rice, which tasted very aromatic, the lamb butterfly and the beans were also a dense. then there was a chronis teller: 1 lammkotelett, 1 steak, 1 suzuki, liver, gyros, zaziki, reis. the meat thoroughly juicy and well grilled, the rice very fruity and “moist”, abundant and very tasty. a dessert didn't want anyone after that. but an espresso was desired twice. this came then also quickly with a small plaque biochocolate, which I then incorporated. after the payment, we were the last guests in the restaurant, we were going to go still friendly. Conclusion: if delphi were now in mainz, I would definitely go here more often. in ahrweiler itself, I would only if I were longer than a weekend there. I am too keen on regional specificities. the food gets good 4* from me. smashed at salad, but the other has fallen and convinced. the service was very friendly, also fixed and always concerned about our. teller were then crossed over the table, which is in the hand, as well as the cutlery. not too intrusive, too comfortable. 4.5* on cleanliness, I can't complain much. toilets were more than in order, even warm water came out of the hahn. to dry paper napkins. the dining room without a miss and perfect. 4.5* plv is, even if I did not get all the prices (the dorade cost 17.50€, but was every cent worth, very, very good! rarely so well fed with a Greek! I can recommend the restaurant. 3.5 – if it turns out to be happy again! (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely again after a kitchen trip
