The Pitstop Roadside Diner - Babergh

We were back at the pit stop at the first opportunity since lockdown and how good was it to home cooked eating served by victoria and their beautiful girls

If you happen to be traveling down the A12 towards Ipswich, don't miss The Pit Stop Café located in the lay-by near Stratford St Mary. The food is fantastic and you will be well taken care of by hosts Emma, Daniella, and sometimes Steve. They open early, so be sure to signal in time on the slight bend. There is seating for 12 inside and a few seats outside as well. The menu is excellent.

The NEW Management have put lots of effort into this roadside stop and as of January this year (2016) it has opened for business. It appears clean, tidy friendly. Will stop again when the need arises.

Beautiful food and excellent service with a warm smile. Satisfied two of us with top-notch dishes. Will definitely return.

I have passed by this restaurant about four times a week for the past year, so I finally decided to stop in. I was intrigued by the enticing breakfast menu, which seemed like a great deal at 6.50 for a big breakfast. However, since it was already after lunchtime, I opted for a cheeseburger and chips instead. The food was cooked fresh and the burger was delicious. The chips were hot, but a little greasy, possibly due to the late hour. I will definitely be returning to try the breakfast menu next time.
