Just off the high street in Buckingham is this small hidden gem. Dining is relaxed bistro style. The Latin American food tastes fabulous. Really great tapas and mains. Service was a little slow but not problematically so and the food was worth waiting for. View all feedback.
What Nathalie S doesn't like about Carnitas:
So disappointed, lovely staff but food was not worth the money. The two tapas we had for starters were ok but the mains were tiny for £14. One chimichanga 4 inches long. Our Xin Xim had two prawns and the chicken was not fresh, more like chicken you would get in a microwave meal. Not at all what I was expecting and our meals looked nothing like the photos on the reviews. AVOID! View all feedback.
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed! we have booked an early table 6.30pm as we were somewhere else, we sat down what is a very small area, but felt really authentic, more tables up and outside, the place was really flowering. we chose 6 tapas dishes between us, and they were served very fast and absolutely tasty, we had the ting pliers chicken tostado, patatas bravas, albondigas, halloumi, chicken wing nachos, all fabulous aromen and very tasty. service was great, very attentive, but not in her face. we will definitely return, a pleasant change from the normal chain style restaurants.
It's great to finally have one in the Mexican seat, although few miles from mk in buckingham. carnitas is a jewel of a place and vibin venkatesh made sure we would come back. we had a mix of appetizers: Patatas band, sauteed mushrooms on brot, nachos and mais on the cob. for the net we tried the chicken tinga quesadilla, fajita veg quesadilla and vegetarian soft tacos. the aromen were really fantastic. many seats in the upper floor and outside the restaurant. the cocktail bar zinc is located directly opposite and is located in the same place as the bill offers 50% discount on drinks at zinc when used on the same day. check their opening times on their website and I would highly recommend booking in advance, although I am sure they would accept them if they also board. many parking spaces in the car park cornwall meadows, from where the square is a short walk (just over waitrose) in the shopping center.
We had been struggling to find a nice restaurant with good gluten-free options, so we decided to stop by Buckingham after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. We were really impressed by the small but charming restaurant and the friendly staff. There were plenty of gluten-free options for starters, mains, and desserts, with some unique choices. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere was great, and the prices were reasonable. We recommend trying the Macho Nachos (gluten-free) and prawn tostada for starters, Jamaican Lamb Curry (gluten-free) and Surf and Turf Burrito for mains, and Churros, Warm Chocolate Brownie (gluten-free), and Vanilla Panna Cotta for dessert. The portions were generous and everything was delicious. Don't hesitate to visit this restaurant for a good meal at a good price.
We had a lovely evening at Carnitas great service and the food was delicious. We have been here a few times and always enjoy everything we order all freshly cooked. Thanks again!
