Always loved Merseas. Been coming here for years. I highly recommend this is over FatCat (whatever the F it's called). Menu may be small but food is great here. The little bar section is nice also. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mersea's Seafood:
Beautiful view off the pier, but the food was disappointing. The garlic fries had too much garlic on them which didn?t taste good, the crab cakes were just okay, and the crab melt tasted like fake crab and not much else. It was pretty expensive for what we got. Wouldn?t recommend. Also, the bathroom was pretty gross. Crab cakes $14 for 2, crab melt $15, garlic fries $6, steamed veggies $4. Small outdoor space with live music on the weekends. Good food and drinks. Indoor bar and some tables. Can be windy at times. Parking: Park off the warf. Some free spots, some paid. Very few spots near the restaurant
Older male bartender was rude and offensive. Told him my cocktail.should 'nt have lime and he stuck his dirty hand it and took it out. He yelled at me in front of the customers because I told him I didn 't want it. His hands handle credit cards and dirty bar towels. He then told me to, get out.
Enjoyed drinks here with the family. Great views of the harbor and Avila Beach. I enjoyed watching the kayakers in the harbor. I will definitely try getting lunch on my next trip.
Wow! The food was delicious hot and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere! We ate outside and watched sea otters and sea lions from our table! Wheelchair accessibility: It was a bit challenging, but i did finally find a table that accommodated a walker. The restaurant is VERY busy if we'd come earlier, it probably would have been easier.
Small restaurant at the end of a pontoon, the dishes are good and you feel like you're eating with your feet in the water!!
