After a long hike it was nice to step into this warm and welcoming grotto. The polenta dishes were exactly what we needed after a day a spent outdoors. We started off with a local bitter lettuce and salametti - both were excellent. Da es nahe am Campingplatz gelegen ist, entschieden wir uns zu 8 mit 3 Kindern einen Spaziergang ins Grotto zu machen. Die Salate als Vorspeise waren lecker, jedoch wirklich klein. Der Insalata mista mit Ziegenfrischkäse ist mit 10.90 , daher überteuert. Die Lasagne mit Fleisch bzw. Wurst war in Ordnung. Die Gnocci waren nicht mein Fall, ist aber eben nicht mein Geschmack. Die Rippchen waren einfach zu trocken...geht... View all feedback.
The first time my wife and I stopped by at this place it was just by chance. We were warmly welcomed by the chef and the service staff. All of us, including our dog, felt immediately at home. The food (traditional Tessin dishes) was great, the value for the money was definitively good.
A happy blow I stole here. I tasted the best gnocchi ever. I really enjoyed it and even finished all the bread, the sauce was so delicious. Even make a way to enjoy Rhis court!

While this is clearly a place for tourists some of the guests were locals and it has kept its authentic charm. The service was friendly and helpful and we were even offered a small nightcap on the house.
Best grotto ever! Absolutely authentic, super delicious food and unique and incredibly friendly service (Thank you Enrique!! Come on!
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent music! highly recommended if you visit Maggia Valley in Canton Ticino
