Shotz Grille - Austintown

We've ordered delivery a couple times from here now discovered them during this whole Covid fiasco and really enjoy their food. Given their location, we gather it's likely a dive bar, which is fine by us, and look forward to being able to come by in person when everything calms down to check it out. I'm not a drinker, but I'd love to grab a bite and hang out, and see how things operate in person. But, from what I can say, our dealings with them have been on point. The food arrived on time, portions are good, and it's delicious. We look forward to trying more and are grateful to have discovered what's potentially a diamond in the rough hiding in our backyard.

I haven't had a meal at the restaurant, but I enjoy the food enough to regularly order delivery. The baby back ribs are really good (not Great), but the reasonableness of the price in comparison to other local places makes them my favorite. The sauce that comes with the chips is also wonderful. This place isn't close to my house; but my orders always arrive very hot; so that's also a major plus. Thus; while I cannot speak to the ambiance, I would definitely recommend the food.

I'm gonna go ahead and give Shotz the Best Cheeseburger award right now. Cooked perfectly at well done yet still juicy and tender. The fresh cut chips were so good too ! Mmmmmmmm... get their food!

Loved every munchy bite, spectacular aromas, even more delectable taste, and I had a ball of fries to round off my meal, a Great 12pm Dinner!!

UPDATE... Ok, Friday night, place was staffed correctly for a Friday night. So I am assuming the long wait for food was due to kitchen. Two people at the table got king cut prime rib RARE. Pretty darn easy you would think. Esp if you have worked in restaurants for years. My prime rib and the other persons were WELL DONE. As far from rare as you can imagine. It did not look roasted, it looked like they bought a cryovac packed boneless rib roast, and cut off pieces and nuked them as needed. And the au jus out and out sucked. If they had used A powdered gravy mix it would have been better. Seriously, the prime rib out and out was awful. And gray colored, and not roasted, no oven taste at all. Didn't even complain, just won't come back here to eat again. Better to wait for Saturday and go to the Budapest on Mahoning ave, and get the filet mignon, with mushrooms, and baked potato. Was going to change my rating from the five the place had to a three, but, prior meals were good. But, ****, how do you have a kitchen that can't cook and hold prime rib? So making it a three star. Place is way deader than it has been. Assuming the owner is just letting the place run itself. Too bad. It was real good for awhile. But this meal. Microwaved prime rib! Well done when I asked for RARE!!! Never again.
