The Russian House - Austin

Had an amazing time here! The food was great, the service was extremely good. Sergei had great recommendations and made the whole meal a total explosion. We will definitely come back! Oh and the vodka? Try the cranberry infused. It's fantastic.

Total good experience. Interesting decoration. Large vodka selection. We sat in a private room, separated from other private rooms by curtains. Very cool. The food was good and cheap. They might have been short-circuited because there were long periods left alone. A fun dinner.

They first confused us about not being able to order food at the bar area. But we were glad to be able to do it later. It was a surprise to be part of their 40th birthday celebration. They offered free vodka infused ice cream and watermelon. The vibes were weird but fun. The music equipment quality was so bad tho ???? extremely loud with noise

There are so many options here that I just want to go back again and again to try. Above and beyond what your standard fare may be, the ability to try a lot of foods you may never have come across before is an absolute treat. And that?s not even getting to their huge selection of infused vodkas. This is a place where the food is just as good as the experience.

Honestly I love Russian House. We have gone a number of times and recommend it to all of our friends. But this recent visit was terrible. And I truly think it was all because of our server. The servers are hit or miss for the most part. Some are fantastic, others are just average. But the server we had last night was honestly so rude. From the very first words he spoke to us, I could tell the evening was not going to be that fun. He was incredibly inattentive and spoke down to us. He even made a mistake that nobody cares about but he was so harsh to my friend and couldn’t just say sorry and own up to it. Nobody was rude to him either. It was such an awkward and uncomfortable experience. All of us felt that way. You could tell he didn’t want to be serving us. You could also barely get an order in. He would rush away so quickly and only checked on us a handful of times. It got to the point where my table started going to the bar directly for drinks because this guy was forgetting things and taking forever. This whole experience really put me off of going for a while. I know it didn’t leave a good impression on my friends who had never been there before. We go because it’s an experience and the staff are typically super social and helpful. But this… honestly this review is not doing how bad the service was justice.
