This is my third visit to Salty Sow, and I have eaten outside, inside casual, and inside in their more formal space. All are really nice. I have really enjoyed the food every time. It is carefully prepared, beautifully presented, generous, and delicious. There is a nice variety of options, from healthy to decadent. The wait staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and just attentive enough. I have eaten there in a gr... View all feedback.
What Mariangela Minotti doesn't like about Salty Sow:
Really enjoyed the service here. There were some fun cocktails and delicious apps as well. I did not enjoy the 3 filet dish. It was overcooked which is workable, but the salt was overkill. Unfortunately most of my group did not enjoy their dinners either. Would love to stop in here for bites and drinks if there was bar, but there is no bar here. Great staff View all feedback.
What a fantastic restaurant that was! Stylish and fancy while you feel comfortable! The most important attention was on food and drinks as it should be! The Entenfettfries were an unexpected highlight that really thrilled me!! Their NYE specials were amazing, with smoked ribs and glazed pig bells.
If we could give 10 stars, we would! The BEST Happy Hour in Austin and the BEST Service in Austin!! Our amazing server Dylan was absolutely incredible. The manager, Mason also stopped at our table with big suggestions and a bit of history on this little jewel! The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming! This is a booklet in Austin and we come every time we visit! We have the most tasty deviled eggs we've ever had, pig bell-tacco, catfish-tacco, crispy chicken with a biscuit, duck-fries and the best 2 drinks. The drinks were the best! Porch swings and bees knees are our favorite. We will definitely recommend again and very much. Ask for Dylan he is an amazing person and server. He knew every detail of this menu!!!
We were recommended to this place by an old friend she deemed it her absolute favorite restaurant in Austin. We would 100% corroborate that! We got to sit outside in a large seating area that was protected by screens all the way around (no bugs!! . We got a couple appetizers and desserts, pictured below. Let me just start by saying their deviled eggs are literally the best deviled eggs I’ve ever had in my life! The Brussels sprouts were so sweet and yummy (just the leaves and crisped so nicely . We had a charcuterie board of lots of fancy meats and cheeses, followed by delectable desserts. The beignets are truly *chef’s kiss*! Unfortunately I failed to get our server’s name but he was so kind and knowledgeable about the dishes. Whenever I’m back in Austin, I’m coming back to the Salty Sow!
I've been a huge fan of this place for many years. The food is great, cocktails are pretty good too, service has always been great, the atmosphere is nice, they have a great semi-outdoor area. Probably the best happy hour in town, and their deviled eggs, brussel sprouts leaves and liver mousse are to die for! Everything there has been consistent and well managed even through the pandemic, I give them huge props!
Oh, my God! The food, drinks, service and ambience were all AMAZING! Brad was our waiter. He was funny, engaged and offered great service. His recommendations for Entree's were on site! The chicken liver mousse was one of the best things I've ever tried! Banana's Foster for Dessert! Portion was so generous!
