Contribute Feedback What Alysson Swift doesn't like about Church's Texas Chicken:
Bad drive-thru layout. Posts block part of the menu. Turn to pull up to the window is too tight for a vehicle any size over mid. Chicken pieces are hard to figure what piece is what. View all feedback.
I live near this place and absolutely love the roasted okra. every time I am here for fresh roasted okra, it is a disappointment! (I have left a review to this effect a past, I started to go the bun of the church on colfax and they always hook a sister with fresh peace okra on request. (after all, I'm a PAYING client, that's not the case at the FEDERAL location. I went through this evening through the drive where a young lady anna, approached the window with a third full bag of okra all frozen together and said, is that okay? it will be really brown (burning and muddy? of course I said no and followed an unanimity. she then called her manager, who apologised (rudely and said that there was a cooler and everything is wise (excuse me? what a joke. complains tomorrow at the company. I just wanted the traditional okra. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that I get it here ever.
Typically I prefer church's chicken over any other chicken place around my location but this is getting ridiculous. First they raise their prices and then they give you less food with those high prices. To top it all off, I ordered the 4 piece tenders and when I get home of course I'm missing a tender. So I literally paid $15 for 3 tenders, a small mashed potatoes and gravy, a small Mac n cheese and a biscuit? Even one of my tenders looks like a mouse was nibbling on it? Well at least when I see that sign of out of business go up, I will at least know why! Next time I'll go to either Popeyes or KFC down the road. They may be just as expensive but at least you get what you paid for!
This place is hit or miss... Poor service, the employees use a pair of tongs to take food back from a customer, because they messed up her order. I really hope that someone in the corporate office would see this and get rid of this ghetto staff. This place is so far ran down that it's embarrassment to anybody in the professional world of cooking.
The worst one. the tenders were old, the bombers were overcooked with the cheese gone because they didn't take it out in time and still served it!! asked for 3 peach cobblers didn't get one. the drive thru kid was awkward and lacked basic customer service skills... there was way to many employees just standing around not doing anything.
