Genzui Ramen Noodle - Auckland Central

I've been going to the restaurant for two years. Over time, the staff were less friendly, but the food is still great. Every time I come here, I get either the son of a **** or the curry and the meat is always crispy and tender, the salad is always fresh. Best Japanese restaurant in town!

The reason I gave 5 stars is because of the value of money. As Japanese Genzui is one of the best Japanese restaurants in NZ and I always recommend them to others. It is easy to give high rate when you go to expensive Japanese restaurants, but Genzui Ramen Bar is very reasonable price n her food is delicious. Your generous part of the food is amazing! Not only that, but also the employees are all good manners. I think they're all Japanese. I can feel that they honestly want to serve great food for reasonable price n make their customers happy. They are not like the other Japanese restaurants that use what Japanese foods as a brand and over a fee for customers who do not really know what Japanese cuisine is. Also, some others rated them very low, but hey, if you pay from $8 to $12 for a big portion of lunch, what should you complain or expect more? And some reviewers complain about the taste, food was from n channels in their grilled fish, they obviously do not know what the Japanese food was. What they know is Japanese food is kiwi-nalized, and they were cooked by non-Japanese people. I am talking about different cultures that you must be aware of. Thanks Genzui! Hidden jewel! Almost not entering because it was in a chic hotel building. Reliable Ramen and Don is at $10/Bowl. Super delicious and fill. Rich lawn broth, crispy shrimp empura and delicate chicken Katsu. Very fast service. Recommended!

The curry katsu is so yum. Katsu pork is thick and juicy. Curry taste perfect accompany w salad as well in one huge bowl . The portion is so generous and you cant find anywhere else in cbd with this price and value

Such a great place to have lunch or dinner. Close by to the workplace in town. Small and cosy shop, could get busy at times and will have to wait for a seat. But food was really good portion and very good value. Adding 2nzd gave me 3 huge piece of bbq pork! It was yummy with excellent broth base. Service was nice and quick too.
