my only warning for this place, is not believe that the online vegan guides who say the vegetarian salat wraps are vegan, they are not as they contain oyster sauce. What User doesn't like about P.f. Chang's:
I was excited to try out this restaurant, as I love Chinese food and knew they had a variety of vegetable options. However, I am gluten-free, allergic to shellfish, and avoid tofu and soy. Unfortunately, I was told that there was nothing on the menu that I could have. The chef and waitress were not accommodating or helpful, and I was simply told to go somewhere else for dinner. I requested stir-fried vegetables and r... View all feedback.
The more popular they become, the worse it gets to eat.
My only warning for this place, is not believe that the online vegan guides who say the vegetarian salat wraps are vegan, they are not as they contain oyster sauce. I told the server that I am vegan immediately and he went straight to the cook to ask which menu points would work for me. they not only told me what was already vegan, but they were specific what could change to be vegan for me. they were able to exchange the oyster sauce for a vegan sauce and change a vegetarian escape for me to make it vegan. they were wonderful.
I was thrilled to visit this restaurant as I had previously had Chinese food and knew that there were many nice people I could choose from. I am also gluten-free, allergic to husk and do not eat tofu or soy. I thought the chef would be happy to do something, but I was told that I couldn't have anything on the menu at all. not only was the cook not courteous, but the waitress was not nice to recommend something and was told to try another place to dinner. I asked for fried vegetables and rice and was told that I have no sauces that they have in the restaurant at all because they are all oysters. I had hoped that they could become kreatiw with any sauce, but wound up with steamed brokkoli and pure rice. I could have done this at home and for the cost I was very disappointed. I'm shocked they weren't even helpful. we will not return!
My with vegan, not even the effort to go to this restaurant. I have heard that the chain offers vegan options, but when I asked my server, and she was talking to the cook I was told that she could not guarantee that everything was on the menu vegan, except for the harvested curry, or that they could make me a buddha platter without sauce damped. When I pointed out that the edamame was also (one would hope) a vegan option, the server just said, oh yes, that they also told me that the salat sleeves and early roll are not vegan, although I was told before that they were, and have eaten them in the past. the edamame was in order, and the ernte curry was good, but that lacks the collaboration from the kitchen and waiter, not even some can they have this when we left the dressing was very disappointing. I'm not back. if they are in the tropicana and want to have a good vegan dinner, I recommend cuba libre, they have some very tasty options, and a knowledgeable staff.
Seems like there aren’t any good food options in Atlantic City. I was not excited to eat at a P.F. Chang’s, but it was decent. I ended up eating here twice because I was offered a comp. The first time I got mapo tofu. It was good not too salty when mixed with white rice. It wasn’t really mapo tofu though it was crispy stir friend tofu chunks with broccoli. It was good anyway. The second time I got the buddha thing. I found it to be less good than the mapo tofu. The vegetables were cut a bit large, so it wasn’t the easiest thing to eat. And the sauce was super thin and watery. The dishes were like $16 $18 and served with a choice of white or brown rice. The portions were generous. The people who work here are cool and nice. They were way under staffed the first day I went here, but the employees who were there were really hustling and making it work. They have TVs upstairs with sports games on.
